  • Motor sounds very similar to the one in Macy's.

  • Kind of.

  • not even close

  • that sign next to it SHOULD read:

    WARNING:

THIS ELEVATOR IS CREEPY, AND CAN SHAKE AND BE SCARY AT TIMES, AND IS AS SLOW AS A SNAIL, SO PLEASE USE THIS ELEVATOR WITH CAUTION AS IT IS SHITTY AND IT'S FROM 1962 AND WE DIDN'T BOTHER TO REPLACE IT IN 1998, AND WE MODERNIZED A FINE WORKING ELEVATOR, AND WASTED OUR MONEY FOR NO APPARENT REASON

THANK YOU FOR SHOPPING AT BLOOMINGDALE'S IN WALT WHITMAN MALL

    UL-UPPER

    ML-MALL

    LL-BASEMENT

  • LOL! Dan A-love the idea!

  • I think it's low on oil

  • Yes, I think it is also.

  • I think this is a Montgomery elevator, because of the roaring motor noise.

  • no way, it was installed in 1962 as a Burlington, and it was modernized in 1998

  • So, this might be a Montgomery Kone elevator, but I'm still not sure. Maybe you can check the escalator brand if they have any, and therefore confirm the elevator brand as the same as the escalators.

  • The escalators are Haughton and Peelle. They're original from Macy's

  • like James said, the escalators say Haughton on one side and Peele on the other, and this elevator used to say Burlington Elevators on the Hall Call when it was Macy*s, so the escalators, unfortunately don't help

  • Yes, the escalators were Haughton and Peelle, but I dont think this is Haughton.

  • Could be, but I think its modernized by Otis.

  • I agree with you, so this is an Otis Elevator.
