Carbonite Addon

The problem with this addon; this is the only feature i like about it. The only feature i ask from it, yet it comes with all this other bloated shit that freezes my computer for .2 seconds everytime someone or something casts an aoe. I have a top of the line computer. I uninstalled your damn addon for that reason. You want my money through donations? You want my recommendations? You split each feature into a standalone addon or plugin and you'll get it.

I used it and then i reinstalled the game so i downloaded the addons again and when i used carbonite the original minimap was left. So i can only use the carbonite world map!!

i use carbonite two months now with no problems, two days ago, the quests doesn;t show anymore in the map. I have no idea why, i try to fix it, i don;t understand where is the problem, because it shows everything else, but the quests, it shows mining, herbalism, mail, but the quests. can anyone please tell me why?

how do i use it as a minimap and 1 click it to a world map then 1 click it back to the way i had it before and where it was as a minimap?

when u install carbonite and login u have a big carbonitemap on, just press M and it will move into a small one, now u can remove the small one whereever u want it an lock it there. press again "M" ore the minimapbutten and the big map will show up. dont press the closebutton at the map, than its closed and will not open. i made that mistake and was`nt able to get the map back, so i had to reinstall carbonite and install it again, because i could`nt find an better way.

One day when I was having lagging issues in the game... major lagging in Dalaran and constant disconnecting issues.. I spoke to a Gamemaster and he asked me if I ran Questhelper by any chance, I told him yes... he then told me that Questhelper is a memory hogger and also has a "Time-Out" feature..when the game slows down (because of Questhelper) Questhelper goes into time-out and disconnects from the server. Carbonite definately helps.. plus I find the addon to run smoother than Questhelper.

questhelper and carbonite are basically the same except that carbonite has some unecesary features and sometimes bug

Questhelper is no where near the quality of Carbonite.

I used Questhelper for about 2 years and I just recently switched to Carbonite. Carbonite is dead on accurate when it comes to knowing where you need to go. Questhelper can be extremely misleading and sometimes even be totally wrong.

I think I've only see Carbonite not know the exact location 2 times and that was in Northrend, even then it was still pretty damn close.

Honnestly, I've used both, and Questhelper is much simpler to use.

Carbonite comes with so many features and no explanation that I gave up, the blending of both mini maps just causes glitch after glitch, and I found I could only track the location of a herb or ore vien, after I'd already found it in game.

It's an entire replacement for the minimap and game map, as opposed to questhelper just adding points of interest to the normal map.  And I had so many problems with it I've given up, stick with questhelper, and if you like being able to zoom into your world map, I'm sure theres an addon that will let you do just that, without all the needless baggage

Love the add-on. Paid for full version before WoW changed policy. Really want to see this on WoWmatrix -- they do have reminders to donate so nothing would be lost. Would make it so much easier to update everything at once.

Because wowmatrix steals addons from sites like Curse and WoWInterface without the author's consent. Carbonite Quest is available strictly from it's parent site, where WoWMatrix is denied access, and for good reasons. I stopped using WoWMatrix after learning the facts. You should too.

Carbonite has so many useful features that you wont find on Questhelper, like adding all your friends from alt characters, having a topography map you can open, and informing you when enemies are near by

Go into options > Gatherer or Show, load Carbonite Mining Veins. Then rightclick the minimap, go to Show and click the mining window

Put it in your addons folder and enable it at character select... then log in. If it isn't working there must be a problem with another of your addons because it basically works without any setup.

> WoW > Interface > AddOns

Now start the game and enjoy

curse is just a manager, it may conflict with some addons, only way to know really is to test it out with the free version
