  • Amazing and Original Masterpiece by three of the best melodic rock has ever been lucky enough to call its own...Robert Sail, Jeff Scott Solo and Erik Martensson

  • Jeff . . . this is a nice, solid vocal. Well done. And . . . @5:13, unbelievably cool of you. Very nice. You are a class act. Rock on, my friend. : )

  • I listened to this song for over an hour straight. It's wonderful through and through...

  • great song ,,,,can hear the journey influence m,m,m,, wonderfull!!

  • Nice BIG sound. Great tune. I like the cool production on the JSS vocal and drums. Probably better than what I have heard on the new Journey CD.

  • The chorus is frickin' EPIC WIN!

  • This is "Be Good to Yourself" from Raised on Radio - shows he was working with Journey and it rubbed off just a tad :D

  • W.E.T. AND WORK OF ART THE BEST NEW BANDS BY FAR

  • Another great sounding song!!! RC

  • genial temazo totalmente a lo JOURNEY!!

  • Caprt Kirby needs to get his head outta his ass so he can hear the music XD, this is awesome, emotional, spirited rock. Nuff Said.

  • "holds out my arms just in case"

  • nice drum sound.

  • Best song in 2009 for me. Fantastic song. Love AOR/Melodic Rock to death.

  • J.S.S. rules.

  • In this song in my mind someone has has finally clipped Steve Perry's brilliance for the first (and final) time :) Sorry but that Filippiean guy won't ever do that no matter how'll he'll try :)

  • Pineda only has Perry's high end, not the bluesy low end (like in Homemade Love). Add the accent and his small stature and he looks like an American Idol contestant. No thanks.

  • The best song from a completely flawless album IMO.

  • Give this song to Steve Perry! It will be even better. Steve get off your lazy ass! Make the final album sound like this. I'm sure alot of fans would agree! ROCK The Fuck ON!!!

  • this song is B..E..A..Utiful. Can you guess where that comes from?

  • Sorry for the ignorance, but does anyone know what the W.E.T stands for? BTW, Great song!

  • @drnrg31

    W=Work Of Art

    E=Eclipse

    T=Talisman

  • just clicked here from curiousity (was listening H.E.A.T before that) and am surprised how good this music is. I don't give a shit what that CaptKirby18 says that this is trash, the melodies give me an uplifting feeling and actually that is why we listen to music.

  • you damn skippy i'll catch you with arms wide open ;)

  • So much for my hopes for a modern band understanding hard rock. My Chemical Romance understands hard rock better than these guys.

  • @CaptKirby18 hahaha, My chemical romance?, you sure do know a lot about music. Can I be your friend?

    Fucking dolt..

  • @ALexXxBeCKEr Fuck what a suckerpunch comment! Give me a few days to collect my thoughts, as I am going to be reeling for a while.

  • @CaptKirby18 I believe the comment was implying that these guys were musical and melodic rock pros when MCR were in diapers, and I have to respectfully agree.

I like the last 2 MCR releases, but simply because there is nothing musical that A&R reps will release for a while. It's all about eye candy and entertainment. I respectfully say that music is in the ear of the beholder, thus true talent is an opinion.I ve listened to JSS for 25 years and he is a true talent , getting better every year !

  • @CaptKirby18 Could you tell WHY you make a comment like that, instead of just trashing this great band?

  • @djeikop Empty drumming and generally wimpy instrumentals. The sounds are mostly garbage thanks to the electronic effects, the main vocals reach some pretty good heights but sabotage themselves with the effects of the backup vocals. I do not see how it matters anyway, I have every right to trash any band, whether or not some small group of people think they are "great" or not (and in this case it is a very, very small group).

  • @CaptKirby18 Ok, I basically agree with almost everything you said. If you can´t recognize the quality of this band and their production, then fine. Obviously you have the right to say what you like, I didn´t say that. I just made remark to how you trashed them, without giving any reason to why. It´s true, very few people know of these guys, and imo, its a shame. But saying this isn´t good is amateur, cause critics claimed this to be one of the best AOR/melodic hard rock efforts of 2009.

  • @djeikop Why is it amateur? Why does it matter what critics say? Critics are a guide, not a hard and fast rule. Critics like overproduced, "professional sounding" drivel like this, but I like actual hard rock. I checked out W.E.T. expecting "real hard rock" and got...this. I do not mean I expected the brash, "raw" feel of the '60s and early '70s, but I expected at least something closer to say Faith No More.

  • @CaptKirby18 Well then, if that's so, then your perception of this band is mislead by false or unrealistic expectations. If you wanted something like FNM, these guys aren't even close, nor are they meant to be. AOR like this is meant to have a smoother, more poppy and"commercial" sound. Aren't bands like Journey and Talisman "real" hard rock, perhaps? But I'm not going to argue more about this, since our disagreements are based on, purely, personal opinion

  • @djeikop Uh what? Personal opinion? Genres have clear movements and clear aspects. Journey was not hard rock, it was a couple of steps removed. It retained some aspects, but was not nearly hard rock. Yes, I was mislead, rym only listed hard rock, but your use of present tense is off, was, so I expected hard rock and was furious at this awful soft rock; Faith No More I listed as an example of actual hard rock, the only other thing close to hard rock I know of in the 1990s & 2000s is stoner rock.

  • This song is totally devoted to Journey. In the writing of inner jacket of this album (Japanese version) both JSS and Erik said and admitted it sounds like Journey or even more than journey's.

BTW Listen carefully the guitar solo at 5:13~, you'll find cool part.

  • kinda Dont Stop Believin.

  • Yes, indeed!

  • @enzojavier not close.. :)

  • @PACUSA2 got it at 5:13, it's a tribute! :D

    btw, love this song

  • @PACUSA2 the cool part is o:oo to 6:10

  • @PACUSA2 and that's why this is the best hair metal/hard rock album of the last 5 years ;)

  • @PACUSA2 Absolutely. The first time I heard this I immediately went to the liner notes to see if the guys from Journey collaborated. Bigtime Journey sound.

  • absolutelly Journey.

  • i really love it!!! a beautiful song and a beautiful voice =)

  • The best song on this wonderfull album!

  • 2nd time a round is sweet justice ~ living on my prayer, x0x

  • Listen to this Mr Neil Schon!

U had the greatest singer ever in ur band and u got rid of him.... wat a tosser!

Jeff is and always will be bigger than ur has been band with its Karakoe singer who has ants in his pants.....lol!

  • Awesome Band, They kinda sound like the Group ''Hardline'' which Neal Shon was Guitarist for, & is Guitarist now for Journey...W.E.T is just a great Band.....

  • GreaT VOCALS JSS wow especially at 2:06-2:20 wow sounds like SP in his later years., which is good. But JSS does sound better when he is being himself.

  • Hi deb, he has a really good voice and wasnt he the last singer with Journey before he lost his voice? Im just waiting for news about Perry!!!

  • @daspudster01 Sure, that part reminds me Journey's ROR album. Great great great song

  • Amazing song sounds fresh and epic!

  • I love it!

  • WORK OF ART and W.E.T. are the BEST new bands of this beginning of the century!!!

  • Agreed!

  • One of the key components of these 2 albums are the vocals....not just lead, but the backup vocals fit so well on both albums that it just adds another harmonic character unmatched by others.

  • Yes! Absolutely true.

I think that is possible because they should be all practised musicians and singers.

Also the sound of both woa and wet cd is astounding, the recording process has been perfect.

I would define these bands as "modern classic" :-)

  • If I fall....What can I say it`s brilliant! My favourite on the best cd i`ve heard in years. Even though I love everything Jeff ís doing i think it`s in this genre he is at his best. It`s going to be hard to find a cd that can match this one! 11out of 10

  • I'm pretty sure I have everything Jeff has done, and he is at his best on this release. Incredible album, done with the style, grace and professionalism you'd expect from such a talent. A true musician through and through.

  • * If i ever fall~ please dont ignore me, talk to me like i was your best friend. i cry, i'm human & a woman in love with you~ what more can i say or do.

there will forever be 1 man in my eyes that makes me cry with every song he sings, * if i fall will you catch me ????

    Dee-Dee <3

  • For those with the heart who seek the soul alliance that transcends this world.

I fell without even a bruise into the arms of an angel & I am eternally grateful.

Oh, there is so much more than the eyes can see & JSS in every wavelength is forever spectacular!

  • there are no words to describe the awesomeness of this song..

  • it song leaves me speechless!!!! as does anything jeff sings :) 1 in a million ~<3

  • beautiful song.

the whole album is a masterpiece.

    better than Journey, hands down

  • Totally agree Pineda has got a good voice Journey only hired him because he is a total Perry clone.Journey couldnt handle Jeff because of the range of qualities he brings and Schon,Cain and Valory like to have total control. Its their loss.I saw Jeff twice with Journey and he was amazing.

  • This song is so beautiful *-*

  • I am also a big fan of both JSS and Journey and had the privilage of seeing both JSS and Pineda singing live. Pineda stole the show without a shadow of a doubt but I think Jeff has other qualities and he is better of going his own way.

  • @ceshaw01

Pineda only steals the show if you want a singer that sounds just like Steve Perry (which is a bit sad in my mind as there will be only on SP). JSS is incredible in his own and has more integrity than to settle for copying someone else. I agree with you 100% that he is better of on his own.

  • @Tommysixfingers Amen to that, Tommy! Well said.

  • @Tommysixfingers He is better off on his own, has more integrity (like you said) too.

  • Im a big fan of JSS,Talisman and anything to do with Jeffs work. This is pure class as with everything he works on.Just awaiting the cd any day.

  • spare me. Jeff sang and delivered Journey songs exactly like Perry except he could only get his voice to a certain range b/c it was lower. It's not like he was trying to be different or unique. Pineda is beyond amazing and definitely isn't a clone, but has a better voice more suited to Journey songs. JSS rocks on this album and is better in his natural range.

  • Yep, but the difference is that Journey don't have nothing more to give to the music, while JSS delivers a gem every couple of day ;-)

  • this son looks like "i believe in you" from Eclipse!

  • Escucho Heavy Metal pero- que lindo es ecuchar temas como este , bien armados, hechos con pasion, muy buena voz.

    Gloria al Metal ####

  • Unbelievable song

  • This is kind alike the "FU" to Neal Schon. It definately has the Journey vibe to it and is exactly what Jeff would have sounded like on a Journey album.

  • the best song on this briliant album!

  • really good song i love it!! :) M.E.T <3<3<3

  • wow, this songs amazing! thanks for posting

  • GREAT!!!!
