  • I used to swamp at rebel now I'm at Mullen and they do shit alot different here than at rebel lol. That western star pole truck is my old truck but she got sent to the great rig move in the sky this summer

  • awsome vid, well done! really learned what it is like in the oil field.

hope you can put on more vid like this.

I am very interested in working there and your vids opened my mind.

  • its actually considered a boom truck

  • Very nice vidio awesome

  • Very nice vidio awesome

  • Very nice vidio awesome

  • is it good money out west drivein truck doing this

  • i worked for mullen for nearly 3 years. tiny bed trucks and crap tires.. yup it's just as i remember.

  • Right on!

I just moved precision 289 today.

    went pretty smooth

only a single so didnt have to break out the poles!

  • very passive looking tire tread for a bed truck is it not?? i was expecting to see something more agressive

  • @richardtheone I would have to agree, but when it comes right down to it, in mud and winter conditions chains are the only way to get around anyway, I have seen some more aggressive tires on them though

  • @CDNcatskinner to be honest i've hardly even seen bed trucks without tire chains on, even on conditions like this i've seen em run a set.

  • Luv those trucks, had a job offer to drive for a rig hauling comp.but had just started where I am at now, hate changing jobs and like where I am at,those guys get to play in alot of mud lol

  • the wonderful oil and natural gas fields a

  • @metalmulisharules i dont no bout the best ive seen them fuck lots of shit up like tanks, shacks you no the delicate shit you shouldnt drop but they still do

  • Canada is awesome!!!

  • we have 6 tandems like that down here in texas 4 in pa also 5-j oilfield sevices

  • I like the truck at 1:50 the best

  • Once all this work is done I haul in the casing and drill stem etc..

  • That looks very similar to the winch trucks & pole trucks we use in Oz on the desert sites. Most of our rig shifts are for off-shore platforms these days. There's a huge amount of off-shore work going on at the moment, on-shore is just steady.

  • Oh and bye the way its just the "Red Army"

  • They are only good at rigmoving and not the best, they are the best at playing the game! Nabor 79 derrick and two bedtruck laying on their sides in the ditch speak volumes about this.

  • The best rig-movers reside from hwy 16 north and 17th street west!!!!

  • Can i ask who, makes this trick.. i work a 40T and want more lift.

  • not bad nice trucks but they should leave it to the pros at h and e

  • awesome vid, but the 1st truck is the best lol Downtons oilfield services out of lacombe ab, my dad works for them drivin a 25 ton tri drive winch truck, the fleet sure has grown now

  • Yeah, thats a mobile home -LOL

  • Yep, thens theres me somewhere sitting off location waiting to come in and pick up the mud van..were the guys always in the way ! lol

  • Hey I know your pain...the last ones in and we usually shut the tow cats down without knowing you are still on the way...that and bad directions makes your job hard...thanks for the comment

  • ive never seen a crane arm on a truck.i shall call it "the cruck" (crane truck)

  • Thats a good word, but we call them Cherry pickers or picker for short, don't ask me where the cherry comes into it

  • Also called Oil field Boom truck too

  • @CDNcatskinner Yeah, why aren't they called "fruit pickers"? Its not only cherries that grow on tall flimsy trees!

  • Man it's fun to just sit back and watch those guys. They know what the hell they're doing, for sure.

  • Most times, I am sure, although sometimes the rig crews would have a different opinion...LOL!

  • Thks..they are massive for sure...thanks for kindly overlooking my assinine 4WD remark...that must be the blonde coming out I mean really...they do have like 18 wheels...lmao

  • Not a bad comment at all, I know what you meant...the only real all wheel drive one i have seen was one of Hecks, but I heard it didn't work out all that well, but I could be mistaken....they should have just spent the money on a Commander. That the big one that you have in one of your videos out at L.A.N.D. 's yard

  • awesome vid! have you ever used robins trucking? good buddies at the time with my dad....:-)

  • Oops...I answered the wrong truck, you were talking about the picker...ya that one also steers like normal...the picker farther in on the vid is a tandem steer TRi-drive of Mullens...very nice.

  • Great video..

I always love to see this trucks in action..

  • Thx Andy

  • What awesome big trucks. Some of them I noticed look like 4WD the truck body sits so high or is it just really big tires. Seen several of them locally must be off-highway use?

  • Big Bed Trucks are cool, I like them....Some of them can be all wheel drive, but these ones aren't...mostly they are that big because of the rebuilt frame that allows them to lug around such heavy loads...they can be driven on highway but because of their weight they can't haul much legally
