For me it felt like a one-shot deal. I told the most popular/loud mouth girl in the school and told her i didn't care who she told. Everyone knew by the end of the day. It was awesome because I knew I was ready.

i've only come out to 2 people who are really close friends of mine and am working on coming out to my family and am in the GSTA club at my school with amazing kids who are totally cool and i've been thinking of coming out to them, its just hard to say it and admit it to myself as well (even though i've sorta suspected/known since i was in 6th grade)

I'd really like to commend you for saying, "Don't let being gay define you." I feel far too often the gay community allows their sexual orientation to define them and allows it to overtake who they are and those are the people who turn off heterosexuals who may have ended up being allies. omg korey thank you for making this video. I think a lot of people forget (even other gays) that it's up to you when you want to come out. A lot of times other gays shun you because you're not "out" and for a lot of us its hard (mostly when dealing with family) and everyone's situation is different. I'm out to friends but not to my family and it's gonna stay that way till I am ready. And I don't like it when other gays have a negative opinion towards that.

I can really relate to your non coming out story.

I find my sexual preference absolutely irrelevant in whatever social relations I have (until I start dating someone of course), so I just don't talk about it. I told my mum when she asked, but my dad never asked so I haven't told him. I'm sure my mum has.

It's just sort of a non-issue, which is just the way I like it.
