Fords are great cars, but cop cars should be full framed, V8 powered rear drivers...cops even say themselves the front drivers are too fragile...try hopping a curb in a Impala at high speed and see if its drive-able...not saying it won't be, but the full frame, rear wheel drive would stand a MUCH better chance.
@h22sparkle the twin turbo is an option the car comes with a regular v6 , but it is surprisingly as strong as a v8 and the car itself handles better. and with the twin turbo well thats just killing vics
I guess Ford doesn't believe in the V-8 anymore! I think they made that pretty clear when they refused to give the Crown Vic, more power. This is a disgrace to what the American cop car is supposed to be all about. Oh well! I guess that's why I've always been a bow-tie fan. At least they still believe in the V-8!

Police Crown Vics hardly get better than 10MPG because they never shut the engine off and they drive aggressively. Putting a hybrid system with the V6 and V8 engines would probably DOUBLE the MPG the police departments get because the engine won't be on when stopped! It's such a stupid decision from Ford, I just don't get it.
