  • I agree with you on some things here, and others I don't, but I can see how your argument proceeds regarding socialism. I agree with the rant regarding those creatures, and blaming Obama; makes no sense whatsoever. The biggest thing that bothers me is that this eco-crisis is a repeat of 1929; caused by the roaring 20's and the government's easy-money policy of artificially low interest rates. Scamming took place back then also, for the same reasons. But those scams are just symptomatic.

  • Sure, Ill explain it.

Congress, including Obama, presented the first bailout. Stupidly, Bush went with it.

  • There are some key points you're leaving out.

One, the economic crisis we're in didn't start with the bailout. It came from the criminal behavior of people in real estate, wall street, and lenders... who were allowed to get away with it thanks to... wait for it... the REPUBLICANS.

Two, you said Congress presented the first bailout. Last time I checked, Obama wasn't all of Congress. Neither did the Democrats make up all of it, and conservatives were saying to do it on TV and radio shows.

  • Republican are not without blame, but the real criminals are the Democrats Dodd, Frank, Waters, et al of the infamous Fannie and Freddy fleecing of taxpayers

  • I like how you lay the blame on everyone in Bush's party, and don't let Obama off the hook. I'm glad you aren't one of the idiots that lays the blame for all the problems in the world at Bush's feet.

II prefer the free market capitalist system. It bothers me that my taxes go towards paying welfare and medicaid to people who could go out and get a job, but don't because "The government said they'll take care of me, who needs school or work?"

Ignorance is how most Americans operate these days.

  • wow man i agree completely aspecially with obama people are extremely stuborn

  • "AND LIKED IT!!!"

made me rofl. Dude, you may not like ownage videos, but you're owning conservatives.

  • What really gets me is these bailouts in general...

Capitalism is is great when times are good. Money's coming in, companies making billions, and when its going good they want to keep the government out of their business.

They say: "Everything's fine here government, so fuck off!"

Then when shit gets bad (which is how capitalism goes sometimes), they cry for help. "Help us government!" "We can no longer afford our golden parachutes!"

All this shit, makes me wish for socialist reform...

  • You said "More bigger".

I liked the sword vid by the way.

  • Thanks. I'm a little surprised that a lot of people liked the sword video... I thought I could have been better. But I appreciate the compliments.

And yeah, I said "more bigger"... Geeze what the hell was wrong with me? Sometimes when I get passionate in talking, it's like my mouth stops working right or something. :P

  • Nah, I was just pointing it out because you're so well spoken most of the time, it was funny to me.

  • I'd have voted for the guy if I was an American.

There are some really stupid people out there, I have to agree. Cognitive dissonance perhapse. A mass stupidity or just a hell of a lot of people who don't inderstand politics and just do what the neighbor is doing.

  • Reminds me of an Onion News article written right after Obama won the election.

"Black Man to be given Nation's Worst Job"

  • Now ain't that true. No matter who you are, chances are that the politician is not your friend No matter how much you like their personality of rhetoric.Chances are that the difference between the guy you voted for and the the other gut is very slim.

  • I would love to see the video that sparked this. :)

  • Man, I love your rants. You are always on point. respect!

  • Dispite the fact Obama willingly accepts the inheritance of our fiscal problems onto his own shoulders in wake of the Bush Admin, he continues to sugar coat yet even more spending to drive down the currency of the united states. 11 trillion and counting. Swordsage, you can whine and complain all you want, but don't you dare forget which nation granted you the right to do so, and was willing to let you arm yourself to protect that right. No one Gov. will ever replace free will. or will it?

  • *sigh* Where do I begin?

One, notice I don't let Obama off the hook here. I did say he is contributing to it. But he didn't start it, and it's BS to say he did.

Two, why is it that whenever someone points out the flaws in this country, the cliche about 'this country gave you the right to complain' comes up, like that's supposed to make it better somehow, or that it should mean I shouldn't point these things out. Plus, we're not the only country on Earth that believes in free speech.

  • Then there's the line about being able to arm myself to protect my right to free speech... ok. Try using your gun against those that plan to limit your freedoms in this day and age. See where that gets you.

I am not "whining and complaining". I'm angrily pointing out the hypocrisy of people who want to idiotically lay the blame on someone who is doing the exact same things that they people they champion did. If they were using their brains, they'd denounce ALL of them, and fight back.

  • Wow, you are mad. It's hard not to be, but I suggest taking a few steps back & some deep breathing.

This mess is totally bipartisan @ this point. Both sides have been paid off, & both have voted for depression. Geithner is a present from Obama to his biggest contributors. Glass Steagal was repealed by a Republican Congress, led by Phil Gramm, bending over a Dem President, Bill Clinton. The bailout went through a Dem controlled congress, & BHO not only picked Timmy, but vigorously defends him.

  • Oh I wholeheartedly agree. Both the Democrats and the Republicans are responsible, and both parties have sold the people out ages ago. But what gets me is that everyone wants to blame the OTHER side without looking at their own. And quite frankly, the conservative supporters seem to be the dumbest of the lot. Say what you will about crazy leftists, but homophobes, creationists, and imperialistic rhetoric tend to not be part of their agenda.

Still, Obama has Rahm Emanuel for his chief of staff..

  • all i got to say is FUCK YEAH

    great vid

your rage is pure... it shows you genuinely believe your cause... and you CARE 5* keep it up bro

    GET MAD AS HELL

  • its the same old plunder and theft but many call it socialism for the rich.

    there's nothing socialist about it.

calling the plunder that makes the rich richer "socialism" sullies the word.

  • Looking at it from a historical context, I can't see how the world "socialism" could be any more sullied than it already is. There is no more greedy concept than "I 'need' what you have and will therefore take it from you by force". Regardless of income.

  • you're right.

that fine word and concept has been dragged through the mud for too long, by those who oppose it and by those who have claimed to support it.

of course need is a reality, from cradle to grave for everyone. whats unfortunate is that some hoard more than they need at the expense not only of their own welfare but of those who actually do need to survive and live a meaningful life.

  • If the shoe fits...

  • Hah Can I opt out of all those

Conservatives do not even follow their own rhetoric at least the liberals admit to wanting big government lol.

We are a nation of fearful morons who want to live at the expense of and/or control others.

  • arrrr

  • question, what kind of socialism are we afraid off?

  • any socialism that is not voluntary. Communism, Fascism, generic "mixed economy" shit, social pensions, etcetera. If you have to be forced to do it, and theft is blatantly necessary to it's enforcement? THROW IT OUT!!!

I'm a market anarchist, but I can see some validity in socialist programs SO LONG as you don't HAVE to participate. (and yes, this means you can't dip into the pot, either.)

  • Is capitalism voluntary ? LOL

  • yes. Capitalism is a system whereby the means of production are owned by individuals, and is based upon voluntary exchange of goods and services.

State Capitalism, also known as National Socialism, Mercantilism, Fascism, and a mixed economy is not.

Capitalism is an economic theory that can be appended to political theories, and has been. Socialism is a political theory that states that a five year old's understanding of economics ("But I WANT IT") is rational and correct.

  • Kbiomech by repeating the mantra : "socialism = communism = fascism = evil" you just appear like a big fat troll. And I still wait for an alternative to capitalism since you said it's voluntary. What are the other options ?

  • I wouldn't call Kbiomech a troll. The angle he is arguing with is that with Socialism, you are forced to give part of your income and resources to the State you are in for the benefit of others, whereas with Capitalism (true Capitalism anyway), the income and resources you acquire are yours to use as you see fit, and the trading of goods and services will happen freely and hindered without state involvement. No one is forcing one to participate in such a market, hence it's voluntary.

  • My Socialism sounds more voluntary than capitalism, capitalism is the international system by default that all countries are involved in they like it or not. Socialism is a large amount of different systems trying to spread the wealth for the sake of public service. People vote for social democracy. What would be a vote for capitalism ? "Less government, less bureaucracy, less regulation"= system by Default Palin's program

  • A vote, period, is a vote for collectivist ideology.

I delve into this rather a lot in my videos. It's hard to do so in the text comments due to the character limit.

Capitalism, whether named or not, is the ONLY economic system that works in the absence of belief. The only alternative is primitivism. All other economic theories either are explicitly capitalist, or unavoidably so.

I'm an anarchist. I don't care for ANY central control. It is my belief that free markets will dominate.

  • As a former conservative, I would like to take extreme exception to what you just said. I'd like to, but I can't. These very questions are a LOT of what led me to anarchism.

I will take exception to one part, though. It goes a lot deeper and a lot farther back than Bush the Lesser and his crew. 'bout 1861 for the beginning, 1899 for the current paradigm. I do believe we're in the endgame.

  • Well yes, it is definitely true that this country's economy was under attack from that time on, especially after the early 1900's when the Federal Reserve was finally established. It's been a long spiral since, and different administrations and corporations helped it along. But I feel that Bush the Lesser and his crew have helped to speed it along even more, and if we are going to lay blame on Obama for things, we have to include them as well, since they helped to set the board up for him.

  • In my arrogant opinion, significantly more was at stake than the economy (a misnomer in itself. Economies are not monolithic), but rather the entire liberal values that the nation was allegedly founded upon. Lincoln, in a direct violation of the time-space continuum, stated that the States could not exist without the Union. (The primary justification for the war between the states was this, not slavery).

Going from there to a veiled tyranny was a very short step.

  • Then Wilson went even further down the rabbit hole with the Spanish American war, in which the United States was not threatened IN ANY WAY. But he found it necessary to "make the world safe for tyran... I mean, Democracy". That was 1899. The attack on the economic base, which was always gold and silver prior to that, didn't start in earnest until 1913. Simultaneously, the autonomy of the States was legislated away by the seventeenth amendment.

Our fathers didn't stop them, and now ?

  • Well, all the more reason for the people to remember what was written in the Declaration of Independence which helped to start this country in the first place... though fat chance of that happening.

The funny thing is, much of what you are saying goes with some of the main reasons why Conservatives tend to piss me off. Despite those facts, you'll find that they are still willing to wave the flag and spout 'patriotic' rhetoric if you say anything critical about this nation.

  • I find them to be amount the biggest supporters of the state around. True, leftest types are too, with constant demands for government social programs, but some of the harshest tactics of the state are supported by conservatives; harsher laws and penalties, laws that govern people's private lives, more police to harass the citizens, censorship and restriction of any type of speech and/or media that doesn't agree with them, etc. Yet they claim to want less intrusion. to me, that's punch worthy.

  • "no one... should have this power"

  • Dead on.

    Thanks for this one

  • LOL! I noticed that shit too.

I also have no idea how many times I have heard from some extended family and especially ignorant motherfuckers, when mentioning Obama and his supporters, say "those people". Which I understood to refer to the black community. Like only black folk voted for Obama. It's insane the rampant ignorance and bigotry that is still so pervasive in this country.

This was a great rant brother.

  • I always bring up the post office and police force when people start the yapping about socialism. lol

I'm sorry to say the the general public is incapable of grasping economics or the founding principles of this country. As well, most Americans are completely ignorant of our history.

I have friends in the real world that tell me to enter politics, but since I am almost incapable of lying, we both know I would not get far.

The "people" have handed over their power... good night America.

  • I'm glad you said you what you had to day. And I respect your passion. Always thought provoking. Thanks, Calvin

  • I apologize if I repeated my last message but it wasn't posting. Sorry!

  • It's ok, and I appreciate your opinion. It's reminding me that not all conservatives are idiots.

  • I'm a conservative, albeit libertarian (reactionary). The essential problem seems to me to be the gracitation of power to the national (and soon to be worldly) over the state and individual. The branches have all three been lifted over our heads. This can be attributable to the existence of a centralized fractional reserve bank and a system of law that focuses primarily on constitutional law (the opinion of judges) rather than the original intent and meaning of the Constitution itself.

  • I'm conservative, albeit libertarian. I can't answer to your question exactly. I'm not much of a mainstreamer. I don't see how blaming merely one individual is constructive or accurate. I believe that the essence of the problem is grounded in the Fed and the usurption of the national government over state governmental powers. That latter aspect might be attributable to the common practice of interpretating the Constittution such as it being a 'living' document, rather than a 'dead' one.

  • Very interesting. Totally agree with your comments. Over here in the Uk we are experiencing the same problems. Slight difference is our Politicians are blameing the good old USA. Nothing to do with there bad decisions and easy lending and bail outs..its all the USA's fault!!

  • Nobody (except those in power) wins when politics turns into dogma.

  • nobody wins win politics is more than talk.
