You're video is so help full!!! I'm going to Germany as a foreign exchange student next year, and I have to start learning as much German as possible,(but I have no one to teach me) and I was having a really hard time with pronunciation, but this has been so great, thanks again:)
I am German - but my father stopped teaching me it when I was little, so I want to pick it back up. But because it has been so long, I have forgotten lots.
That helped a ton! Particularly with the umlauts, I've always had trouble with them. I love that "kissie face" technique.. very strange, yet very helpful.
Btw, cute head bobs when you pronounce the letters.. xD
Thanks for posting ^^ looking forward to watching your other vids!
Can I Just Say I Love You(In A None Creepy Way). You Are Amazing!! And Your Videos Helped Me Pass My German Final. And Now I Can Go Vist Germany. So Again You Are Amazing. Oh And Really Good English!!
I'm taking German in college and your videos have really, really helped.
Thank you for using English words to help with the pronunciation otherwise I think I still would be flailing when it comes to pronouncing the ü and ö.
Again, thank you! Yours are some of the best pronunciation videos I've seen.

Thank you! Your patience made it easier for me to follow and that you made comparisons to the English language...I am going to use this video now to learn the German alphabet.
Great vid, really helped, thanks! I know alot of german words but im pretty sure im pronouncing them incorrectly, hopefully this will help me when i go back to Berlin in November. Great english by the way!!
but i really want to ask...what is the difference between e and i in german? i have listened to it many times in many youtube videos but still can't hear the difference:(
I like your accent I'm Part German I love the language I live in Amrica so I dont know it thats why I want to learn it I have been learning Russian as well I love both languages. Their both beautiful.
WOW, your video's are amazing, ive just graduated from University in Scotland and am bored so decided to try and learn German as I have always wanted to know how to speak the language and your video's are amazing. I couldn't get my head around the pronunciation of some letters and sounds and these video's have just made it so simple and easy to remember and learn. Thanks very much for having the confidence to upload these video's your a life saver :D x
you don't seem that nervous in it, and no I thought your english was really good. maybe you speak better when not nervous, I don't know, but this was way good. You've obviously have had a lot of practice. I'm gonna study German to the Goethe Institute (which is why I need to know how to pronounce better). but yeah, this stuff is crazy helpful. luckily your friend needed help I guess, helped a lot of others
oh my god! thanks you so much! I'm going to Freiburg and have the hardest time speaking and telling the difference between the u, ü, o, ö, so i've been worried. I just can never hear or say it so my wurde and würde sound the same (and that totally changes the meaning of course). But the pucker face (kissing mouth) thing really works great ^^ I'll look weird but at least they will understand me lol. thanks!
really good english btw. and very cool (although not too strong, which is good) accent
Thank you very much!! I just started teaching myself German to in touch with my Heritage. (i'm very proud to be german!) This really helped a lot with the pronunciations ^_^
Is there any difference between the pronunciations of 'e' and 'i'? They sound exactly the same to me. My German teacher pronounce 'e' in a way similar to 'eh' in English (only shorter), but i've checked many resources and they pronounce them the way you do. Would you please help me out?
Well, there are two different *e* in German , take the word * Leben* ( life)
the first e is long ( Leee---) and the second e is short ( close the English * eh?* )
There are also two kinds of i in German.
1. Bitte ( please) here the i is very short ( close to the English *eh* again) because all double consonants ( ss, rr, tt, ff, gg etc.) make the vowel before short
2. tief ( deep) here the i+e create a long i , similar to the english word * deep*;)
it's great!! thank you for you help!!
