  • Evil will prevail when Those who know truth fail to act upon the freedom to call it out, it takes everyone working for the liberty of a nation, cull out the beligerent dissedents holding public offices and desicrating oathss stand up in truth, oaths are held to accountability, God the creator of all will have grievances with all who fail to live in truth of the inalienable rights provided by him. I will abide by the our Constitution Ron Paul 2012!

  • Everyone falls short and has all along, this is why Jesus is and was and always will be the redeemer of all men, we can only admire and desire to walk in his path, yet God demands we retain the courage to stand in truth and always strive for self preservation of the assurance of continuity. We each have a single relation to our creator for he is one he is and always will be the same one true God.

  • 1:47

  • I've got a problem with religion, but Mennonites are pretty decent, that is to mean they dont get in your face and judge anyone. I really enjoyed this and kind of made sense. This is a real Pastor and someone id actually converse with. Great sermon Pastor!

  • Jesus created everything you see around you, even your thoughts

    Jesus bless

  • Total dribble, you arnt going to sit down and calmly speak to someone after they break into your home in the dead of night as everyone is sleeping and kill every member of your family accept you, oh dear lets sit down and talk about this so I can improve your life you poor troubled person. I THINK NOT!

  • Such an entertaining blessing, an awesome way to show the life application of this verse,

  • We always turn the other cheek. Look at our taxes, it slaps us and yet we still bend over for it.

  • Just had to say this was a joy to watch, didnt expect to be laughing but still a pleasure!...lol

  • Pastor: "What doesn't make sense is what Jesus Christ is telling his disciples to do in this passage."

Very little of the Bible actually makes sense. It is a 2,000 year old holy book filled with fallacious stories and disgusting atrocities. As science has progressed, it has proven more and more of the Bible is untrue. Galileo was threatened with torture by the church for suggesting the earth was not geocentric. There is no reason to believe in a book about bronze-age myths.

  • @CynicalSkeptic1 - What the pastor means is that for US it doesn't make sense to treat others, who have done harm to us, with love and compassion, but if we were to follow God's law perfectly then that is exactly what we would do.

  • @TinaNeufeld1 "if we were to follow God's law perfectly..."

Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves. Numbers 31:17-18

“Anyone who curses his father or mother must be put to death.” (Jesus speaking) (Matthew 15:4)

Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. (Exodus 31:15) (More killing of course)

  • @CynicalSkeptic1 As for your doubts in God and the bible, I would encourage you to search the word further and to pray about your doubts and ask God to show himself to you in your life. You might be surprised what God can and will do for you in your life, if you let Him. There is no harm in trusting in someone greater than you, if anything it will benefit you greatly and give you answers to so many questions in life.

  • @CynicalSkeptic1

    Philippians 2:9-11

    New American Standard Bible (NASB)

9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

  • @TinaNeufeld1 You attempted to explain "God's grace" and exhibited a Bible verse...

I was a Christian for 20 years and my parents sent me to Christian schools since kindergarten. Becoming more familiar with my Bible (and religion in general) resulted in my apostasy.

  • @CynicalSkeptic1, I was once like you until I studied it to understanding.

Genesis 49:10 is more clear in Revelation 11:8-15. Jesus is Son of man coming back to gather. Shiloh is what Muslims give Judah.

    Matthew 24:27-28

27 For as Barak cometh from the East, shineth even unto the West, so shall it be when the Son of man cometh.

28 For where the carcasses are, there also an Eagle in Union.

  • @ReligionOfSacrifice Sir, I am well aware of the Bible's contents and I find it insulting that you insinuate that I "haven't understood it correctly".

The Bible is filled with a veritable plethora of utterly absurd stories and malevolent actions perpetrated by Yahweh/Jesus.

Evolution is also a fact of life = No Creation = No original sin = No need for Yahweh/Jesus to sacrifice himself to himself.

The foundation of Christianity disintegrates. End of story.

  • @CynicalSkeptic1, I agree. The Bible does not teach original sin. It says in two places of Psalms that basically you began heading in the wrong direction to become wicked. Not that you were wicked from your origin or as a baby.

Stories of wicked sins is not God condoning sin so much as telling us what we do.

I also think science will reveal how God did it naturally. E=mc^2 explains how Earth could be without form and void from the beginning.

God is not the author of sin.

  • @ReligionOfSacrifice Actually the Bible does teach original sin. Psalm 51:5 says that david was conceived in inquity. Romans 5:12 teaches all have sined because Adam sinned. Genesis 6:5 says that man's heart is only evil continually. If it wasn't for original sin, then Christ would not have needed to come, because man would be able to achieve salvation by being perfect.

  • @TheCASSMAN777

Psalm 51:5 is about David, not you or I. And if you read the literal translations it says "my MOTHER conceived"--so it's on her. Which could mean that she conceived him illegitimately etc... but the real issue is, it's probably just an exaggeration of how sinful David had been in his sin because it's a prayer of repentance. Rom 5:12 says "because all sinned"--don't read your view into it, it's conditional upon our sinning. Gen 6:5 says nothing about birth, but "youth."

  • @droptozro Psalm 51:5 is about David, but we all descended from Adam so therefore it applies to everyone. Notice that David is the one being concienved, not his mother. Also the context is about David's sin and not his mom's sin. Also if you don't like that verse, then try psalm 58:3. In Romans it says that death came from Adam so that means original sin is true.

  • @TheCASSMAN777

It's not that I "don't like that verse"--it's a penitent prayer and to take an exaggeratory Psalm and make it doctrine is downright dangerous and error.

"Psalm 58:3"--same issue, exaggeration... do infants talk? No. So can they speak lies? No. It's exaggeration.

In Rom 5:12 it says "because all sinned"--don't cut that off. And if you think we're ALL automatically sinners because of Adam(in Romans)--then to be consistent ALL are saved automatically b/c of Christ. Universalism

  • the smack 1:48

  • Now slap you neighbour in the face and tell them that God is in the healing business.

  • It is a teaching of JESUS TO TURN THE OTHER CHEEK! Sad to say it is the way he wants us to live as disgusting as it is its the truth.

It is times like this that being a christian can be pretty damn depressing. The reality of being one and the dirt bags who cant tell you the truth about Jesus teachings! I thank God for this pastor he is a big to this! I wouldnt even if Jesus paid me

  • Somebody has been watching "Coward Of The County"....This is the same thing Kenny Rogers did in that movie.

  • this guys are funny there are other ways to explain that, but is funny do

  • I wonder if he would be as pious if half his teeth were missing?!

  • Not correct, Pastor, Jesus does not ask us, in turning the other cheek, to condescend and belittle in return, and in doing so, being so self righteous to the point of nausea! If you said those things to someone that just hit you, you,d not defuse them in any way, but you could well get smacked again.

  • i thought they made in in they own lenguaje, not english

  • And he immediately turned bright red! I feel so bad for him! lol

  • I loved the video! Really brought the bible to light!

  • Wow!!! but I get it. God will contend with those who contend againgst us! Vengeance is the Lords! Amen.

  • "smh" Even though I agree with the notion of turning the other cheek. He only gave the example for comedic purposes because it was NOT an example of what Yahshua was teaching.

  • Wow...this is off-topic and probably a sin, but Dave was HOT. He could slap me anytime! :P

  • Thanks pastor! I don't think I've ever had anyone explain it like that before. Enlightening. But I thought Mennonite(who I believe or thought were spirtual relatives to the annabaptists/ammish) abstained from technology...just not to the same degree as the ammish and such..

  • lol!!! that was funny!!! good one!!!

  • "I want you to hit me, as hard as you can."

Lemme tell you something about Tyler Durden...

  • This pastor is putting a member of the congregation on the spot which is pastorally uncalled for!

  • Press 4: He says you, "So don't knock it out of me"

    Press 5: He's in SHOCK!

  • whoaa lol...omg I didn't expect that, guess he was supposed to turn the other cheek but was like "naahh, bad idea... I'll just let Jesus explain how he did that when he comes back down" ;D pretty cool pastor though...funny man..

  • I just went to this church for my friends' wedding, Andrew and Sarah. The Pastor and his wife are really awesome and really love their members. They are very funny as well. I did not know they had a video and that slap was crazy

  • @andrewzindar Glad you enjoyed the wedding and being at NMC. And thank you as well for your kind words. It is very encouraging. May God bless you wonderfully today and always. If you are interested you can see our sermon videos online at harryjarrett(dot)net/sermon_video_archive/

  • hey man..... i am not a christian but this pastor is cool i would go to this church if i were a christian!

  • NICE ONE "

  • i like this guy,he is funny.

  • So, if you walk into your house and find a man has broken into your home and is raping your daughter, what should you do ? Do you try and calmly set down with him and discuss ways of making his life better ? A slap on the cheek is one thing, but this can't be used as a law that says all self defense or defense of others is wrong . What would society be without police? Yet, Mennonites don't believe in having a police force either .

  • @123itisfree Jesus was speaking about retaliation and retribution and not self defense in this passage. It is a passage that focuses on how we as believers are to address evil in the world and strategies that might produce a different result than leaving everyone eyeless and toothless because of the endless cycle of violence. These strategies do work. One I remember is a woman who stopped a murderer who intended to kill her by just talking to him. She had just read 40 Days of Purpose I believe.

  • @hjarrett7 It was A life of purpose I think by one of those false prophet tv preachers.Oh and the woman later admitted that she gave the dude meth from her little stash and THAT is what bought her time and trust from him.He had escaped from the courthouse in ATL and killed a cop in the escape.

  • @123itisfree If you are interested in reading a small article on this you can go to my blog article "So what is our response to both our neighbor and our enemy?" or read more at a friend of mine Marty Troyer at the Peace Pastor

PS. Most Mennonites I know appreciate the police force. I have several who serve in my church.

  • @hjarrett7 I did that too once... stopped someone from murdering me... we got lucky... however, striking back was probably not a choice for either one of us... probly why women have a tendency to be more thoughtful and less forceful... i really like what you said in your message 123itsfree... i think the true message of what JC taught us is the most important for guiding our free will as we journey through this life.

  • @MsPollywogg Thanks for sharing your story and your thoughts.

  • AND TOMORROW I'LL TELL YOU WHAT JESUS WAS FELLING IN THE CROSS.....PLEASE BRING NAILS. IDIOT !!

  • I can agree with the logic of extending ourselves towards them in a loving way. But one comment he made disturbs me. At 3:15 he says not to defend ourselves. This is a very dangerous concept to teach. What if the person getting attacked was about to be raped, or bludegeoned? If she adapted this insane concept and i saw it happening i would look for the first thing i could use as a weapon and beat that guy to oblivion.

  • @bengalboi77 I hear you! The bible does to defend others.

  • @bengalboi77 I hear you! The bible does to defend others. but He wants us to understand that all bad things need a christian response to win the other time to our side. Civil rights were won by not fighting, Gandhi and Martin Luther Kings struggles. Also, people remember the person that acts with extreme compassion towards their misdeeds (Jesus)

  • I would have slaped his ass to next week..lol

  • i'll pick Dave- because I can see the muscles under his shirt lol
