@cyberdaemon Anything can be misused. If Religion didn't exist, then I think they would find something else to misuse. You can't judge a Religion by its followers - just learn about the Religion in its purest essence - don't mind what others say or do.

Also - Islam is NOT based on superstition at all - being superstitious is actually forbidden. And if you would read the Quran, you would see how scientific matters are talked about as signs to mankind :)

No science has proven we are made of dust. All you do is picking and choosing from thousands of verses, thats why christians claim like bible talks about the bottom of an ocean floor. And why isnt holy books full of thousands of scientific facts? Modern schoolbook on biology has far more information about life than any holy books.

you are missing the point , no other book is such comprehensive book. As it is divine without any contradiction within it , free of errors , valid all the times , What ever has been said (1400 years ago) in the book specially regarding science has been proved 100% correct. Its quite logical to believe that its divine book, as who could have guessed those scientific facts 100% correct apart from The Creator Allah.

@ainaedil Every statement in this book is a subject to scientific questioning and i don't see how you can prove things like burka. Its a cultural element, rather than divine. There are many books that seem to predict undiscovered scientific stuff, at the time at least not discovered. I bet you can find miracles in an ancient greek writing or in indian old teachings too. And as about not having contradictions - if Star Wars had no contradictions, it would be divine movie series then?

If you read my previous post i did not mention about miracles , I was talking about Established Scientific facts ( Established relatively recently) which Quran already mentioned 1400 years ago.

@ainaedil Yea, but if you dig in very old books long enough, you can find many scientific predictions there, so it at least seems. This is the same reason why people think Nostradamus foresaw all world wars, cold war and WTC 500 years ago. In reality, Nostradamus only wrote vague poetry or something. But if you use enough imagination and dig up the right quotes, it may indeed seem as he predicted the future. It doesnt make him prophet of god for you, isnt it? Why?
