  • I've learned so many things from you ! I can make anything anyone asks me to bc of your videos . I do my best to pass on your videos :) long time follower and thought I'd let you know my appreciation. Btw I can't quite catch how you do the ribbing , do you have. Video for that lol .

  • My fingers get so tired holding the needle.. those "sponge or rubber thingies" you have on your needles would help. Where did you get those?? :D I think it would really help.. thanks and I LOVE this video.. Im making some gloves for my daughter who is graduating college in May so thanks :)

  • @BBadiction Those are pencil grips I purchased from Walmart in the office supply section of the store next to the pencils.

  • your craft are wonderful... love them all... Im going to try this project next... Thanks you are great....

  • @vanessamendez1000 I appreciate your kind words, thank you.

  • @tjw1963 explained and easy to understand and the close up is wonderful

  • Wow, thanks so much...learned to crochet by holding my 96 year old grandmother's hands in mine to help steady her when she crocheted...I'm a definite visual learner, so this really helped me alot...thanks again for sharing...you get the blessing too for helping warm up some cold hands that might otherwise not have gloves....;^)

  • @1foodiegirl Thank you for sharing your wonderful story on how you learned to crochet.

  • @tjw1963 I'm not sure what you mean by "work two round for each finger".....

  • @xXTheBuddXx You are working around the finger twice. A round with crochet is the same as making a circle, only you are doing it with yarn.

  • @tjw1963 I figured it out I kept rewinding and rewatching the part where you started the back and forth thing. I just couldnt see where you were putting the knots. But i got it. Thank you. :) I am a beginer, but I have made MANY things thanks to your videos. :)

  • What do you mean "through row 26"? do you mean keep doing this and flipping 24 more times? or...?

  • @xXTheBuddXx There will be 26 rows total.

  • I AM SO CONFUSED!!!!

  • @xXTheBuddXx If you are a beginner, I would suggest an easier pattern to avoid frustration.

  • Thank you so much. I've been trying to figure out how to do this by a written pattern but couldn't figure it out. Seeing it made all the difference!!!

  • @melissa2986 You are welcome.

  • I don't know if this has been resolved yet, but if you want to make a "cap" for the mitten, you can try using Teresa's "Art of Crochet by Teresa - Mittens - Single Crochet Adult" pattern. Sorry, it wouldn't let me link it. Just make the top part of the mitten, until it is long enough for your purposes, and then finish it off by skipping one stitch, then using a slip stitch in the next stitch to even off the row. Hope that that helps!

  • do you recommend to sew the tails in or can you cut them off?

  • @dogpuppylover101 I recommend you always sew in the tails. Make sure they are knotted and very secure. Sew in your tail after that. If you cut them, you risk the knot coming apart and unraveling.

  • @tjw1963 thanks for the tip!

  • After row 8 when we connect the last stitch am I cutting my yarn and starting with a knock stitch at the thumb for 25 stitches? Also is ths at the beginning or end of the increase?

  • Oh yes I agree one with fingers would be absolutely amazing!

  • could u show us how to do 1 with fingers

  • jippie I did it! tank you so mutch :)

  • is there a way you can make a video of gloves with the fingers for me please or tell me how ?

  • I absolutely LOVE your videos :) I never knew how to crochet and your an amazing teacher. Thank you for sharing your amazing skill

  • i have a question. what are those things on your crochet hook? pencil grippers?

  • I've had to convert your hook size to UK sizes, but the ribbing is WAY too small (5.0mm hook our size). Is there a way the ribbing can be made larger whilst maintaining the rest of the design??

  • @elmo5321987 You can start with a longer foundation and make more rows. If the ribbing is turning out to small, you will probably have to modify the rest of the glove as well, working in more stitches.

  • is there a way i can make them from my wrist to my fingers?

  • @pta451 Yes, just continue crocheting on up each finger. Work a decrease round on each finger and sew the top shut.

  • T, I'm a big fan of all your videos!!!! I've done many of your creations, I love to see if you can crochet a poncho and share it w/us.

  • does anything varies as different sizes? how to decide about it??

  • @AL0321ay The yarn and the hook could make the glove smaller.

  • @tjw1963 okay, thanks :) I'll try

  • Other than just that one little thing this video is sooooooo helpful, I did your puffy heart too im wrapping it with my girlfriends Christmas present, thank you so much!

  • Hi, you keep saying things like "join with the beginning single crochet", what is a join? Do you mean continue one more stitch? it kinda looks like youre doing a rib stitch but my computer is glitchy and i cant really tell lol.

  • hi

I was wondering how much would be reasonable to increase the stitches by if i wanted to make a pair of gloves for a man with big hands? i'm planning on making them as a present. oh his hands aren't like clown-big, just man-big! haha

also could you tell me how many stitches would be in each sequence (not just the original chain size)? that would be soooooo useful :)

thanks for the lovely videos xxxx

  • Could not do this

    to far difficoult

  • I got confused on the rib stitch part.

  • @AnimeNatako Keep practicing. I sent you a video for the rib stitch

  • Hi Teresa, I enjoy your videos and have learned so much from you. I am making these right now but have run into a problem. I am at the very end of the pinky finger at 30:42 and can't figure out where the next 3 stitches are after the 2 sc under the ring finger. I don't know what is wrong, but haven't had a problem until now. Maybe you could tell me wrong I did wrong? I am almost finish with this if I get this part. Thanks.

  • that look like vibrator

  • i can't get my needle into the stitch you want while doing the rib stitch.. It takes me several minutes to put a needle behind the yarn and pull it upwards to be able to put my crochet hook in it.. every single stitch! It will take forever this way. People have been telling me you can not crochet this and that i'll just have to knit it but i refuse to give in. yet, i'm having serious doubts now..

  • i love it thanks how do u learn these stuff so fast i made mine it look ugly lol

  • Teresa, I always love all your videos.. Would it be possibly if you could make a video for fingerless gloves but with Tunisian stitch? Thank you.

  • I can't figure out which loop you are talking about at 1:40

  • I want to make a mitten "cap" to add to these any suggestions? (Very new to this, taught myself how to crochet)

  • @smashleyruns Try using Teresa's "Art of Crochet by Teresa - Mittens - Single Crochet Adult" pattern. Make the top part of the mitten, then finish it off by skipping one stitch, then using a slip stitch to even the row. Hope that that helps!

  • hi teresa, i just wanted to ask..do i follow the same instructions for the other hand..or would it be a little different?

  • @ally786 Both hands are done the same way.

  • Comment removed

  • cant wait till i get my new 5mm hook so that i can try and do this pattern. (the bigest i have is 4mm)

  • Hi Teresa,

Thank you for putting this video up, I have been having a hard time finding these kind of gloves to treplace a favorite pair a friend gave me so am going to try this pattern. Thanks very much!

  • @silkstarlight You are welcome.

  • I love your videos...they're of great help

  • I combined your glove video with the flower video and now I have the cutest gloves with flowers on attached on the front! Thank you so much! I'm a big fan of yours! I love all your videos!

  • Que lindo!!!!

    thanks for sharing : )

    good job, you are talented!

  • what type of yarn did you use for the gloves?

  • @iheartphoto I used 4 ply yarn

  • Your not showing your work your holding it below the cambra

  • How do I adjust the amount of stitches so these gloves work for an 8/10 year old?

  • Comment removed

  • @TenkiTench Yes, you can extend the fingers. When you get to the end, work decrease stitches and then sew the ends shut and sew in the tails.

  • i made these, but i did full fingers, and when i made my cuff i worked in the back loops and i find it gives a bit more stretch to the cuff, they turned ot amazing and i love them, i am also making them for all the girls for christmas:) thank you so much for all ur videos i love following along with u and making my projects:)

  • @sarahjane12808 It is good to hear that you easily adapted the gloves to add fingers

  • @sarahjane12808 was wondering how you added fingers to these gloves, been trying to find a tutorial

  • I know hoe to do one In a completly different pattern. Lol

  • i can't do the rib stitch so I did the regular single stitch and when I got to row 26 mine wasn't big enough for my wrist. so I'm gonna make a few more rows and try to make it work... i wish i could have followed your pattern right but I don't know how to do that stitch and i tried to watch your tutorial on it and just couldn't get it.

  • Bellos guantes, no sé mucho inglés pero trataré de hacerlos, gracias por enseñarnos a hacerlos!!!!

  • @Caroleve14 Le agradezco el comentario, gracias

  • Do you where you can find a yarn neddle at

  • @barbieblues123 You can go to a local craft store like Hobby Lobby or you can find supplies at many Wal-mart stores.

  • thanks this tutorial was very helpful, I'll be following your tutorials see u.

  • @osacreativa1 Thank you. :)

  • thanks @tjw1963. i'm half way to finish my 1st crochet fingerless glove :) need practice more. your videos are very helpful..

  • if i lost count of the row, how to count them back easily? so confuse..

  • @EacaAncara You will have to estimate where you started from.

  • i do not have the patients to do that

  • @TheDevildawg14 You can start out slowing by learning the beginner stitches and then work your way up gradually.

  • I'm working on the second glove and I was wondering how to make a flippy thing to cover the fingertips that would give the appearence of mittens for when you don't need to use your fingers? Also, how would I make the palm slimmer for a narrow hand?

  • you should use a susan bates hook it wont need the mushy things

  • @wafflewoman11 Not a fan of SB hooks. They are horrible and to flat. I have found it pierces through the yarn and slows down the crochet process because of mistakes.

  • i hate the squeaky noise, thumbs up if u agree.. if you want to get rid of it read the following:

take hook wipe on pants not shirt shirt has different fabric if it still makes the sound take yarn blow and rub on shirt. hope helped

  • @wafflewoman11 When it is 110 degrees, the yarn and crochet hook is going to squeak.

  • arrrgh this is so confusing! i want to make these but i cant do it even when i follow the instructions perfectly. its like something doesnt want me to make them!!! >___<

  • Im having the HARDEST time EVER getting the "Rib Stitch" It doesn't look at ALL like what yours looks like, YET im doing the EXACT VERY thing you are! I even youtube'd "crochet rib stitch" and watched her video and did that too. It doesnt make that "stretchy" look. It just looks like a repetition of sc's. Does this make sense?

  • Comment removed

  • @sere0587 You can continue to work the fingers longer. When you get them to the length, work 1 decrease round, sew the end shut, knot, secure and weave in the tail.

  • Thank you for making this! I mean, I cant understand crochet patterns because they confuse me, but this is so simple on a video.

  • @Stringsbox I appreciate the comment, thank you!

  • would i be able to attach a flap to the back part of the mittens to flip over and cover the fingertips? the mittens i mentioned i have been wanting to make for awhile. thanks.

  • @Drocket1993 Yes you can attach a flap. In fact, the written instructions have instructions for a flap.

  • Im getting stuck at 7:24 right when you make the thumb increase. Its not making any sence at all. Am i supposed to put, i dont even know please help?

  • I gonna buy Brown yarn so I can make "Gauntlets" like the ones Link has :)

  • @zeldahearts1337 Please share a picture with me on Google+ when you get them complete.

  • I love the squeaky noise your yarn makes.

  • Thanks for the upload! I'm still a little new to crochet, and your videos always help : )

  • Hello, at 4:51... what do I do with what´s left? Do I just cut it? (it´s the first time I´m doing this...plus...i speak spanish :s so i´m sorry if I said something wrong...) and thankyou!!

  • wow....i couldn't keep up! but that is awesome :)

  • @tjw1963 hehehehe. aww, how lovely you are. ^^' you answered me! :D oh, so let me tell you: I'll start crocheting tomorrow! :) I'll buy the crochet stuff, make the gloves, and I'll give it to my best friend, as a gift for her seventeenth birthday. :) I bet she'll love it! ^^' So thanks again, Teresa! ^^'

  • I'm a beginner at crochet, and I keep getting stuck around 5:16

It keeps getting stuck and won't make the knot right. What am I doing wrong?

  • @dnangelfangrl You will need to loosen up the yarn so you can pull it through.

  • Why?

  • hate this

  • Thank you for such a clear instruction-love it- again thankyou

  • @lkp1010 You are welcome!

  • does anyone know where I can find a tutorial on how to make fingerless gloves that go up to mid-forearm?

  • @MsSexyBookworm

I can tell you where to find a pattern.

    Ravelry

  • You are amazing! I love crocheting along with you. Keep the videos coming :)

  • @melindawhiteley1 Thank you, I will! :)

  • @tjw1963 the part that is getting me confused is the very first part, the rib stitch. I watched another video on how to do the rib stitch and instead of doing a single crochet with the back loop of the 2 loops one visor says to do it in the front yet your says in the back. Could u slow down how to do the rib stitch? Thank you very much

  • @FashionDesigner1123 i looked up crochet rib stitching and it helped me

  • thank so much!!!!

  • what is the name of the first stitch pleaseeeeeeeeee pleaseee

  • @Clau92Cris I call it the rib stitch.

  • it's gorgeus!!!!! what is the name of the first stitch.... elastic stitch? please

    because the gloves are beautiful

  • thank you so much for this video!!! i successfully made mine and now i just need to make another one to match it x) ive been looking other places for a tutorial on how to make one but none of them explained clearly like u did! thank you so much again!!!

  • these look beautiful; its really making me want to try and knit them

  • Respond to this video...

  • @PirateEmi The pattern will be here when you are ready.

  • is it fine to use steel hook in that gloves?

  • @MrAustria777 You can use a steel hook. Keep in mind that if you use a smaller hook, your project will be smaller.

  • Thank you! I have been looking everywhere for a video for fingerless gloves. Then I had to try to find one with fingers! Thank you very much!

  • Thank you for taking the time, and effort to make this tutorial! You have made this pattern so much easier to follow!

  • @jnh0205 You are welcome!

  • Wow! I now have a better idea on how to make these cool fingerless gloves! Thanks so much Teresa for taking the time to make this available. Its greatly appreciated!

  • Wow! I now have a better idea on how to make these cool fingerless gloves! Thanks so much Teresa for taking the time to make this available. Its greatly appreciated

  • Hi Teresa, I just finished crocheting my beautiful gloves!!! Thx! Your step-by-step instr.are so easy to follow. I look forward crocheting with you again : )) I now have matching rib st beanie cap, rib st. scarf, and the fingerless gloves. I really appreciate your left handed instr. I am left handed .

  • Can these be made without the mitten part?

  • @genevalou This tutorial is done without the mitten

  • @tjw1963 Thank you, Teresa!

  • @Love2go2school If you are a beginner, I would rate it a 10, 10 being the most difficult. If you are somewhat familiar with crochet, a 6 and 4 for an intermediate crocheter.

  • About how much yarn does it take to make a pair? Please answer in meters.

  • @iamllamaful I will estimate around 400 meters

  • I was just thinking today how I would like to learn to make these. I'm working on 'em now. Maybe I can get 'em right lol.

  • @junebug017 I bet they will turn out great!!

  • I will try this out.

  • is this a kid's version?

  • @mitsy17 Adult size

  • @mitsy17 Thanks. This video taught me a new stich. I am VERY grateful~♥

  • @mitsy17 You are welcome!

  • @mitsy17 Thanks. This video taught me a new stitch. I am VERY grateful~♥

  • I dont get crochet but very cute

  • What Size Tapestry Needle?

  • @chrisbrowngirl12345 I just eyeball my tapestry needles and use one that looks like the yarn will fit through the eye.

  • This is exactly what I was looking for!!! Thank you so much. I'll let you know how they turn out. I knew you'd have this up here!

  • by the way teresa i actually didn't make a glove i made something else but its pretty good xD and p.s.:i'm 10 years old if u saw my profile and my age thats not my real age just saying xD

  • WoW thanks teresa thank you very much you helped me a lot thanks thanks thanks xD

  • @shipoopi228 You are welcome!

  • How long does this take? I'm still going to start it but I just want to know because I'll more than likely stop

  • @chrisbrowngirl12345 They may take several hours to complete, depending on your skill level.

  • Wow very cool

I like the crocheted and I can not do anything like this

Ll I try your work, God willing

    Thank you

  • @missmaram22 I do provide a variety of easier patterns and basic stitches.

  • Do you have a video for gloves with fingers?

  • @hinesrozetta52 You can continue making fingers on this glove. Once you get to the length of each finger, you will work decrease stitches and then sew the top shut.

  • i am trying to figure out how to make the fingers smaller, i have tiny hands! can you help por favor?

  • @lachalupita6 Using a smaller crochet hook is the easiest way to reduce the size of a patten. Smaller yarn and smaller hook will reduce the size even more.

  • >.< you're videos have helped me do soooooo many new things with crochet, but i cannot figure this out for the life of me! is this a beginner pattern, or is it more of an advanced pattern? because i'm very much a beginner and this pattern is frustrating me. and i would REALLY like to make these

  • @PrincessJyhalra This is not a pattern I would recommend to a beginner. I will send you the playlist of beginner stitches. This pattern is for people who are familiar with the crochet stitches and a few techniques.

  • I am starting to get frustrated now... I'm not very good at the working through the loop to the back of the stitch thing. The edges of my cuff seem to be a bit wonky and not straight like yours, whyyyy? They kinda zig zag :( i keep giving up after 4/5 rows... getting so fed up, please help if you can

    Lisa x

  • has anyone done these in sock yarn, and a matching hook?

  • @Fluffymonkeyem I use smaller yarn/hook on one glove and had to modify by working more stitches so it would be larger.

  • @tjw1963 These seem pretty simple, so it shouldn't be too hard. I guess i'd just modify it to fit my hand, right?

  • @beautifulgirly456 That would work fine. I'm planning on making these, minus the mitten top, and with a shorter cuff.

  • once again thank you sooo much for putting this video up! I just finished my first ever fingerless glove! On to the second one haha. My boyfriend loves it (im making the mittens for him to match his scarf and headband i made).

Cant wait to finish the other mitten!

  • Thank you so much! Can't wait to make a pair. ;)

  • I'm trying to figure out when you make the ridge stitch, are you going into the front or back loop? I can't tell and I've rewound the video 5 or more times. Thanks.

  • @ladyv65 i believe you go to the back :)

  • @ladyv65 You are working through the loop behind the stitch. When you look to the back of the stitch, you will see another loop. Working through that loop will push the two loops at the top of the stitch to the front, creating the ridge. I do have another detailed video on this stitch with slow motion.

  • I can't get the video to stop and rewind. Isn't there supposed to be a control for that? I'd like to make the gloves but it is a bit fast. I'm visual and if I can't see where the stitches are going, I just get frustrated and go to something else. Thanks

  • @beautifulgirly456 Yes, you can make a longer cuff. Make it as long as you would like!!

  • Dear TJW , today not much to do here right now so i deside do this gloves just right now i have finish this pretty lesson of true this day thanks so much , realy havy dutty .
