  • This song ain't on the album cover you have posted?

  • anybody else have this song blasting when they were unlocking the jack the ripper achievement on modern warfare 3? epicness :D

  • great song great band what else to say just epic

  • Falconer Are Perfect!!!

  • Awesome !!!!! \m/

  • Wasn't there a cartoon from the 60's called Jack the Knife? That's what I was searching for. Clues?

  • @Shashan1977 jack the knife is jack the ripper i thought?

  • @ianharwood Correct.

  • @ianharwood He once referred to himself as Jack the Knife in one of his notes.

  • @ianharwood

    yes

  • Falconer is epicness along with my other fav swedish metal band Sabaton. oh yeah they swedish got it goin ON!!!!!

  • American Dog Motherfucker ;d this song is epic

  • @MrSlash4 Bulgarian Piece of shit Pussy motherFucker, Americans like this band

  • @farcry2outlaw wtf why u have to hate I am just sharing a song.

  • @MrSlash4 smart one you said American dog motherfucker

  • @farcry2outlaw so what this is name of song if you dont know search on youtube

  • great freaking song. and if u dont like the song lyrics thats your opinion.

  • Obviously got the name from the Judas Priest song "The Ripper" from the 1976 album Sad Wings of Destiny.

"I'm sly and I'm shameless, nocturnal and nameless. Except for The Ripper, or if you like Jack the Knife."

  • @HCsonicknx it's known worldwide that the jack ripper was also known as jack the knife Priest didn't called him like that by accident !

  • @need4beerr Then why is it that whenever I google the term Jack the Knife, it then suggests "Mack the Knife" and in quotes, "Jack the Knife" has only 166,000 results, meaning if it was "a worldwide term" it sure has an awful small amount of results. I have never, ever heard the term "Jack the Knife" before Judas Priest, and this is the very first time that I heard it anywhere else.

  • @HCsonicknx when Jack the ripper send a letters to schoolyard he Sign as Jack the knife on one of them (maybe it's not worldwide term sorry about that)

  • @need4beerr Ummm, he never sent one to a schoolyard. There is one that was forwarded to Scotland Yard though.

  • Love this song! This is one of the better non-Mathias Falconer songs.

  • i love this lead guitar

  • For everyone that's confused: The song is about Jack the Ripper. He is also known as Jack the Knife.

  • @Tantalus017 - I've only heard him called: Jack The Ripper and The Leather Apron. I think Jack The Knife was someone else though for some reason "Johnny The Knife" sticks out in my head as the correct name. Oh well, great song anyways.

  • Jack the Knife was from Fable^^i think

  • @YoungPhoenix3191

That was Jack of Blades. :P

  • @ApparentAptitude

    yes youre right xD

  • What album is this song on? I have Falconer, Northwind, The Scepter of Deception, and Chapters from a Vale forlorn. I'm sure its not on Among beggers and thieves so I'm confused @.@ is there a 6th Album?

  • @Erzion Yes, it is called Grime Versus Grandeur. That album and Scepter of Deception are often overlooked because for those two albums they had a different singer (in my opinion he drove Falconer off a cliff until they got Mathias back). Too much metal, not enough power.

  • @Erzion ye there is. Grime vs. Gradeur

  • great song by Falconer.

  • great Band. great Song. 5*

  • the best band ever i want to see them live so bad!

  • reference of Mack the Knife?

  • @Aelkamal Maybe reference to Jack the ripper?

  • My name is jack Lol O.o!

  • WOOO MORE MUSIC ON FATHER JACKY

man i love being obsessed with jack the ripper good music comes out of him

  • Like what?

  • what songs? um lets see "THE RIPPER" (all versions) its a great song (iced earth version is my fav).

"Jack" by iced earth is a good one "The curse of white chapel" by vernian process (instramental version is creepy as shit) "catch me if you can mr.lusk" by leathermouth (based on "MR.LUSK" the guy jack the ripper sent the kidney too)

"anthology of evil" by infernal majesty

theres tons more just go on the wiki for JTR music

i have the link if you want it

  • I see. Thanks for the ideas.

  • no problem

    they are great songs.

  • I love this band *-*

  • Awesome song, and this style of music and vocalist are much better than what they went back to. They really should have stuck to this. Fantastic.

  • They are extremley good on thier instruments =) And this singer is the good one o_o I dont like the other "high" singer. He has a to high voice, if u ask for my opinion. =p

  • actually u have a point...the voice is too high in some parts

  • Hmm... It just doesn't feel like Falconer... Maybe it's just Gobel, I prefer Mathias myself. But this guys okay

  • dude thier guitarist kicks ass!

  • One of the best songs, i think,i listen almost all the day, amazing:)

and the instrumental part is awsome!

  • This is so different from anything I've heard from Falconer. Weeirrdd... but I kinda like it.

  • Couple of albums had a new singer, and took a different direction. After this album i think they went back to the old singer and recaptured their classic style.

  • no thats him, with an effect on his voice!

  • well the song pwnz

  • O_O thers a girl singing with him

  • Possibly the best song ever about Ol Jack.

  • Great song. Has a very original feel to it. I especially like the opening riff.

  • skräckinjagande

  • Read some lyrics to mainstream rap. Those are the worst lyrics.

  • Yeah mainstream rap. Some of the underground and most of the classic is fucking amazing.

  • @Buradorii2 and props to you for putting an emphasis on "mainstream" ^^ theres some decent underground stuff here and there.

  • @Buradorii2 F you you don't like don't listen to it!!!!

  • Och sen lite Jojk i bakrunden XD

  • Jocke Med Kniven!! :o

  • JóXxXxXxXxXxXxXxXxX

    MêD

    KnîVéNN

  • like "mack the knife"

  • This song was on this album? :O

  • does the opening riff remind anyone else of hell patrol by judas priest off the album painkiler in 1990?

  • Yes!

  • lmao so true. might be coincidence. but definetly close.

  • and the high notes...nto he absolute screams but the high notes of the singer remind me of matt barlow of iced earth!

  • hehe....love this song xD

  • i clicked on this song thinking it was about stealing a knife... i was kind of wrong lol

  • ha ha that was fantastic! i really enjoyed your comment ha ha oh man

  • nice to listen to? what kind of sick are you? disturbing and good maybe, but not nice.

  • Disturbing?

    HAHAHAHA!

Falconer is not "disturbing". BLOODBATH is disturbing (look up their song "Eaten").

Jack the Knife is a bit psychopath-y, and that makes it cool.

Good way of venting emotions, actually.

  • Eaten's lyrics are hilarious "Blood for dessert?"

Cannibal Corpse has some fucked up lyrics.

  • -disturbing-?Rofl this is only group way less disturbing u 60 years old or what?

  • great song

  • that album cover does not match this song. this is from the album grime vs grandeur, arguably Falconer's worst album. but still nice to listen to :)

  • but made better

  • Ever heard of a thing called a "cover"?

  • lol, yep, covers are when bands do the same song as a previous band and acually credit the previous band

there is a big difference between a rip off and a cover
