Because Britain's educational system is heads and shoulders above ours. They have lots of kids who are learning music, as well as, the three R's among other things such as a second language. We coddle our little brats too much.
Will someone please explain to me how most of the greatest rock of all time came out of the UK? It's such a small area and yet look at the incredible number of truly great rock n' roll groups that came from here. What do they have here that the rest of the world doesn't?
We don't care where the hidden guitarist is, we're just glad that this kind of Rock and Roll is still possible, before the politically correct bisexuals make it illegal...
This is definitely NOT a Bad Company classic. I love Bad Company but I'm always waiting for this song to be over. I think this was simply a toss off, a filler song. Even Deal With The Preacher is better than this, not by a lot, but it it a bit better. I'd say both of these songs were filler on Straight Shooter. With two better songs SS would have been a much better album.
@JaminRebel I HAVE TO TOTALLY DISAGREE WITH YOU - THIS IS BAD COMPANY'S BEST SONG IMHO. I ALSO LIKE SWEET LITTLE SISTER AND HONEY CHILD. THEY NEVER GOT A LOT OF AIRPLAY - BUT THEY STILL ROCK. BAD ASS BAND FOR SURE! LONG LIVE THE 70'S!!!
Live vocals...sounds like the original rythmn track....hell, it's only a 4 piece...but what a noise they made....it goes on and on and on....Australia had its Bad Company-type band...the mighty Cold Chisel in the 1980's...also centred around a gr8 rythmn section...with the addtion of a gr8 rock vocal (jimmy barnes) & a gr8 lead guitarist/singer (Ian ?)....scoob anyone?
Incredible example of 70's rock and roll...As always with Bad Company, hard driving and about a chick...almost perfect...Only 15,000 hits?...incedible
I would like to see some top of the pops from 74, 75, bbc4 show them from76,77, still good, though.

I don't understand...there are TWO guitars playing, but only ONE guitarist on stage. (Not including the BASS player)
WHERE is the SECOND guitar???? Some hired musician sitting behind the stage?

I personally thought the gimmick of Paul Rogers "replacing" Freddie Mercury as front man of Queen was a joke; Stick with Bad Company my friend.

His and Bon Scott's stage look, stances are remarkably similar. Paul was famous first so Bonn prob copied.

@byronbayoceanpaddler Bon even copied his teeth. I don't think Bon would of wore that outfit though.

This is rock n roll, not that stuff now. Guys back then actually played the guitar rather than playing two chords through the whole song.
