What's the difference between "Racoon Mario" and "Tailed Mario"?

Tanooki Mario can turn into a statue for a short time, which make you invincible, but also, you can't move while in that form.

@Zoltrekun Oh, thanks, it's always good to know something new. BTW, I found it kinda funny, when I noticed by saying "Racoon Mario" I wasn't much off, since "Tanuki" is japanese word for "Racoon", XD!

Well there is a Racoon suit, and the other, statue one is called Tanooki suit. BTW I didn't know that japanese for racoon is tanooki, so I guess I learned something new too :)

Also, you can play this game using an emulator, in case you didn't know. If you want to know details how, I will be happy to tell you :)

@Zoltrekun No need to, I got myself a Snes emulator quite a long time ago (since there were many other classic games I wanted to play, beside Mario), and yesterday I found a ROM with this, particular version of Mario.

Should have flown over the wall at the end of 7-6 and did it again to make it even more liesure, lol. You can fly over the wall in the beginning without a P-wing if you cn time short jumps over the small pipe right AND not accidently press up and enter the door. Just a little something to show-off that you can do, not necessarily shortcut the stage.

By pushing down and I think the fire button you can change the Tanooki Mario into a statue that is untouchable for a few seconds... it works even when in flight.

The Tanooki suit can be used as a statue if you press DOWN + B i think or A not sure. But it defends against certain enemies but it can only be used like for 5 seconds.
