  • Red fuming nitric acid?

  • @hkparker what can potassium permanganate be used for apart from its reaction with glycerin, can it be used in flash powder?

  • @Nonchalants8 I've seen a nice flash powder made from potassium permanganate, aluminum, and sulfur, though I don't remember the ratio. In my experience unless you use that ration it can be less powerful then perchlorate.

  • SOLUTION: a lighter

  • @SandwichedTom That's less fun.

  • @hkparker i guess ur right... xD

  • 4:45 MMM. THE COFFEE'S DONE.

  • Very well done!!

  • @myst32YT Thank you!!

  • i cant believe some of these were done inside. the products were very reactant

  • I couldn't help but notice at the end of the video the wind was blowing HEAVILY off the left of the screen and you appeared to be adding the liquid material from that same side. Should you perhaps not be taking advantage of the winds to stay safe? Remember: SAFETY FIRST! ;)

  • Great job. I loved the video!

  • @HackSilent Thank you!

  • Great video, very interesting!

  • @nickbhalo Thank you!

  • Good work! I'm glad to see this video came out so successfully!

  • @DDTea Thank you!

  • You should watch Breaking Bad...

  • @vinay0429 a lot of people tell me its a good show, and I've seen the pilot, but many home chemists feel it casts us in a bad light, like drugs and money are really our motivations if the situation is right.

  • @hkparker

drugs and money is always my motivation lol

I'm really interested in chemistry, but my brain can't sit through all the classes in highschool and falls to sleep.

"a friend of mine" made his own DMT, his first ever home-chemistry experiment. it turned out to be a huge success ;)

One day a kid is going to watch one of your videos and say to themselves "wow, i want to be a chemist."

keep up the great work :D

  • Awesome!!! What is there in part 2 as of now? School is really busy now but I still want to film something.

  • @ChemCrazy81 Iron oxalate, as well as a few videos Formatik sent me, check the thread somewhere around page 10. More contributions would be great!

  • Amazingly edited video. Definetly doing some of these when I have time.

  • @Kendrana Thank you!

  • Very interesting. Thanks.

  • I didn't get this in my subscription box... Oh well luckily I checked your page :P Great video by the way!! I wish I could do some of these reactions but where I live you can't buy any chemicals what so ever unless you are a big business :( But maybe one day!! lol Oh and keep up the great work hkparker, your videos are really nice/awesome!! :D

  • @insomniac1893 Thats odd it didn't show up... but thank you!!

  • I love you!

  • Excellent HK, I loved this compilation and am really looking forward to any future episodes. These reactions were exciting to watch yet demonstrated in a safe, professional light. I really loved the absorbic acid and sodium hypochlorite reaction. Hope he was wearing a face shield. I really like what you and the the other channels you recommend are doing on the Tube. Kind of a movement, in my mind at least.

  • @TheBot0nist Thank you! Part 2 is already shaping up to be pretty successful. I too was pretty impressed with it, I defiantly did not expect that intense of a flame.

I hope its some sort of a movement, I think we could use the encouragement of science in this public setting. I feel like thats what NurdRage started with the sub4science movement, and I'm happy to continue it.

  • Love the chlorine reactions, after my last run in with it, I'm a little scared to work with it! How many beakers were used? It must suck to clean them all up.

  • @MrTechGuy1995 I'm not sure in total, lots of people's beakers were used here. Do be careful with chlorine!

  • Nice work!

  • @bkraz333 Thank you!

  • The 20% hydrazine and periodic acid one would go well with "ALWAYS I WANNA BE WITH YOU AND MAKE BELIEVE WITH YOU AND LIVE IN HARMONY HARMONY OH LOOVE" as soundtrack.

  • Excellent video.

  • @nodariel thank you

  • very entertaining i might try a couple myself : )

  • @dan999ification Please be very careful!

  • nice show Thanks
