  • DAFT PUNK should sample this.

  • If memory serves, this was the B-side to Raise a Little Hell single. I remember because I felt at that time that this was an awfully good song to waste on the back side of a Top 40 tune. I think I bought this at the same time as Queen's News of the World EP.

  • good song..up there with "boys in the bright white sports car" great band to see live..shits loads of fun!!

  • RoryNights, you have great taste in music. Another great Canadian Band! Thanks for the video.

  • @robtuohy1

Thank-you very much for your nice comments!

    Have a great weekend robtuohy!

  • Nice! I heard this on an oldies radio station today. I hadn't heard it in 30 years. I completely forgot about this. Googled the lyrics to find this. Glad to find it on Youtube.

    Well done video, too!

  • @JohnGrant2011

Thanks for your comment! Its a super song!

  • Special *Thanks* to Frank Ludwig for his comments on this video :) All the best !

  • Went to Rock and Roar this summer and Trooper was there. They haven't lost a step and had the grounds rockin', rain be damned. Add Kim Mitchell, Helix, The Headpins, and Nazareth to the fray and it was a two day affair to remember. Such great memories were relived there. I'm going again in 2012.

  • @tyme4mike

Awesome on the concert event! Thanks for sharing this with us here :) Love Trooper! and the event sounded great. Yes on the memories, love music for this!

  • @suziQyooot

Thanks for viewing my video, and comment! I just found it, sorry for the late reply.

  • Hey RoryNights, I just checked out some of your other favorite musicians and I have to tell you that you have very good taste in music. I see you like Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac and Carole King. Well I can tell you honestly that I have DVD's of all those three artists. Namely (in that order) I own MAJIKAT, THE DANCE and WELCOME TO MY LIVINGROOM. I am 43 years old and truly believe that the 70's was the most interesting decade of music. LED ZEP, EAGLES, SPRINGSTEEN etc. etc. Thankyou

  • RoryNights,

Thanks so much for this great post. What a classic song. I heard it on the radio tonight driving home from work and got such a rush from it. Thanks again from Toronto!!!

  • @robtuohy1

Your very welcome! Its an awesome classic :) I love hearing that, when someone just listened to an old tune on the radio.. and then come here and find it! Thank-you for your comment robtuohy1. Greetings from BC's Fraser Valley to Toronto!

  • Thanks man great song. Had this gem of an album(yes I said album) in 1980. Fond memories of my mother yelling at me to turn down the volume as I air drummed to this and the many other tracks. :)

  • Love the last minute of this song especially. I love the guitar, I wish I could find a tab for it...and it reminds me the intro to a TV show I used to watch a good number of years ago...

  • @doomsd46

Great song isnt it.. I dont know about a tab.. but the man who wrote the song is in the comments Frank Ludwig.. he has a channel.. and made an acoustic version for this tune. Thanks for your comment!

  • @doomsd46

Hi again doomsd46, Frank has made a comment in regard your question on a tab for the song. Take care!

  • Hello & thanks for bringing this song to peoples attention, for everyones kind comments, and for the interesting pictures..the composer (Frank) is the singer and was the original keyboardist...if you like this song please check out the new acoustic guitar version etc. on Youtube and at frankludwig.ca

  • @frankludwig314

Hi Frank, your welcome.. but it should be me thanking you for this wonderful song. I don't know that my video served the song justice either.. but I enjoyed making it.

Thank-you so much for adding a comment and providing this information here in regard the composer and singer (yourself). Another person and myself felt the singer had a unique sound. I listed to the new acoustic version, and its very good too. I will check out the website. Thanks again, Christine

  • @RoryNights ..I always feel that once a song is recorded it's 4 others to enjoy - so having you or someone else put your pictures to it allows new creative interpretation..both enjoyable and flattering that you think enough of the song to participate..like your ferris wheel shots, I used a broken carousel for my current pix on the new cd .btw..for Larry, the song first appeared on the "Thick as Thieves: album before making it onto the greatest hits album "Hot Shots"...regards, Frank

  • @frankludwig314

Thanks Frank, I really appreciate what you've said here.. I didnt know how else to create this. Love the song, but it takes some thought for which images to go along. I am pleased to hear you used a broken carousel for your pic too, wow! I'll let Larry know, thanks. After reading your comment, I read up on this topic some.. and then I was inspired to make a video for 'We're here for a good time (not a long time)'.. just hope the info is correct on it! Thanks again!!

  • @frankludwig314 - Frank Ludwig? Like the real Frank Ludwig? Off topic comment, but I love your music and have tried numerous times to find a book with guitar tabs of Trooper songs in it, especially this song, but have always come up empty handed. Is it possible to get these tabs or would I have to try and tab it myself?

  • when i saw them live the bassist sang this song. It was amazing!

  • @dallyn19

hi dallyn19, thank-you for your comment.. sorry for the late reply, as I am not getting all the notices from youtube and just found it. Thats awesome youve seen them play this song. Its a great song, one of my faves of this band.. so upbeat!!

  • I'm a big fan of Boys in the Bright White Sports, car 3 Dressed up as A 9, and Santa Maria, I wore out the record back in Edmonton in 1977... Hadn't heard this one but nice job on it... What album was this off and is it a different singer?

Hi Larry! Thanks for your comment. I made a video for the Boys in the bright white sports car.. love the song too! also Santa Maria.. making a playlist for the band now.
