i was very sad to hear of Henry Gibson's passing..he was one of my favorites...only one other time have i truly been upset over an actors death, and that was Phil Hartman. A poem..by Mellikat: He made he laugh, and he said his poems..and now he has been called home.
Until I read his obituaries, I had no idea that Dick Martin had become a prolific TV director in the 1970s and '80s. I also didn't know he was married to Playboy Playmate and "Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" star Dolly Read.
You naughty boy Dick...:D

I remembered Dick Martin directing In the Heat
of the Night, starring Carroll O'Connor and Howard Rollins Jr. filling in the shoes left by Rod Steiger and a pre-Stir Crazy/pre-Shoot
to Kill Sidney Poitier. I have a few excerpts
from In the Heat of the Night on YouTube, so
you better watch them following Dick's death!

I can't believe they allowed these types of jokes back then when the day-time tv was soo cheezy.
