I have a CD of yours that you made in 1992 called: "Werke Fur Gitarre." You are a fantastic guitarist even back then...Do you play any South American composers besides Villa-Lobos?

It is called Classical music... It takes real musicians to play such high and complicated octaves. These interpretation is from Andalucia, Spain. The Music was rendered by one of the best World Classical Guitar players: Paco de Andalucia and cuban composer Leo Brouwer
Classical guitar player Paco de Andalucia? No my friend. Paco de Lucia, the best FLAMENCO guitar player of all times. By the way, this vid shows once again that most classical guitarists don´t play flamenco very well. There´s no rawness and he doesn´t attack the strings in the "flamenco" way. His whole approach is "classical" and that makes it very boring in my opinion. Check the video of Paco de Lucia playing this piece.
Paco is my Hero too... but come on this guy rocked that song out! i am glad he did not play it exactly as Paco does.. he made it his own version.. as every one should when performing.
Music making of the highest order. My favourite video on YouTube.

@szirm79
he plays it just fine
although he doesn't use picado though which can explain why its not as loud when he does runs.
in addition the strings are too are probably too high on his guitar so its much harder to the golpe above the strings

He wants too much.....this piece should be played only by a real flamenco player, not by a german intellectual.

music is above nationalities, he plays it very expressive, don't be silly.

Impressive musicianship, one of a kind. A pity that the music stand couldn't be placed lower though :-)
