  • i luv any version of ths clapton does - luv luv crossroads - thnk u, mr johnson

  • I dig the funkier, slower versions of this song. The classic is great to, this one is good. Check out the one by Derek and The Dominoes LIve @ the Fillmore for some true funky monkey jamming.

  • Eric Clapton, Maybe the best

  • Just love it.

  • watch?v=iO2_LnlDdY4 better ;D

  • HE LOOKS LIKE A BEE GEES , his a good god

  • great line up :)

  • bet he was wasted

  • This version is so fucking lame. Good Christ - I would prefer it if he didn't play it at all rather than this pimp-ass pussy shit faggot stylized muzak...If I had a fucking pie I would have thrown it square in his face. And he's copping Johnny Winter's guitar tone except that Johnny tunes down a step......

  • @beeroosterm

ec was around before johnny winter

  • @datfatjunt Nope. Johnny is a little older than EC and recorded his first song in 1959. Clapton didn't make any sort of scene until a few years later, eventually joining the Yardbirds in 1963. Johnny hit it big in 1968. Do your research...

  • best clapton song and solo

  • i love eric's awesome taste in music, thank god for him and robert johnson...

  • all hail clapton

  • I have this on DVD and believe me... the whole concert is really awesome. The bass player was flawless.

  • wooo phil n eric wow!!!

  • he sure isn't the only one!!XD

  • You're not the only one, I LOVE that 80's EC tone too!

  • Clapton's singing is amazing from this period...generally he has som much soul in the 80ties and 90ties...much more than the other decades :)

  • This versin is better than the cream one!

    More feeling, more bluesy

  • blues intramontabile!! libera la musica e la mente!! free your mind and your music

  • amazing^^

  • This is simply OUTSTANDING!!

  • I love Clapton's 80's guitar sound. I'm probably the only one, but I think it's awesome.

  • MOST DEF AGREED!

  • @specialagentslowhand oh no, your not the only one! i love his 80's career

  • @specialagentslowhand you are not the only one :)

  • @specialagentslowhand nope, i do also like his tone here very much :] !!

  • @specialagentslowhand It's one of the best sounds!

  • @specialagentslowhand You're not the only one :d in 80's Clapton was using jcm 880 and jcm 900 amp's, which were giving him this sound :D

  • @kqpa93 His signature model Strat has two (!) boosts on it -- give one a try, and you'll see where the "tone" comes from. I like the "Eric Clapton and Friends" version better (same band), but thanks for posting this. The live Derek and the Dominos version is also slow (like this one, unlike the Cream "original").

  • Yeah I've read it. A great book by a great musician ! I agree with ya

  • Amazing song. Has anyone read his autobiography? Gives a beautiful insight into what he's gone through, and yet, in spite of it all, he has given us this wonderful music.

  • The best damn musician's autobiography EVER.

  • I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.

  • @ciakykall You are not the only one! Slowhand GOD!

  • I mean you ofhoner

  • I really likes clapton solo and appearances in the 80's hehehe

  • All those who say on the other Clapton at Montreaux videos that he isn't plugged in- pause it on 4:18, there is definately something plugged in.

  • Robert Johnson, the man who influenced generations, upon generations of blues musicians. This is definately for him.

  • well, it is Johnson's song.

  • yes, it is phil collins, also look the video philcollins against all odds live aid 1985

  • am i the only one who thinks the beginning to this song is just amazing? :l

no matter how easy it may be...

  • I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.

I went down to the crossroads, fell down on my knees.

Asked the Lord above for mercy, "Save me if you please."

I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride.

I went down to the crossroads, tried to flag a ride.

Nobody seemed to know me, everybody passed me by.

  • I'm going down to Rosedale, take my rider by my side.

You can still barrelhouse, baby, on the riverside.

You can run, you can run, tell my friend-boy Willie Brown.

You can run, you can run, tell my friend-boy Willie Brown.

And I'm standing at the crossroads, believe I'm sinking down.

  • eric clapton always looks completely different every time i see him
