I'd have loved to play this, despite the graphics. I really appreciate the older games, with the lesser graphics (though amazing in their time), than the new hyped up graphic games, which usually lack a very well made storyline. It's sad to see, really. Games these days (while some good) are based more on appearance than quality of story & gameplay.

they should make a sequel to this involving new characters and new FF characters not just from 7 I was saying to my friend the other day instead of doing another dissidia etc they should either do a sequel to this or a squarenix crossover fighting game featuring FF, Dragon Warrior, Legend of Dragoon, Chrono Crusade, Grandia etc, it would be one epic game! and it would be a 4 player brawl out

Wow...kids these days have it so sweet lol makes you feel old when you remember seeing your first PS1 game and remember when FFVII came out! At one time, these games looked amazing...now the younglings scoff at them and go back to their PS3 and 360 (ok, ok, I have a PS3 also). Still, glad I was born in the 80's, not the 90's.

@nemesisurvivorleon Anime's are drawn in 2d as well. (With a few exceptions). Those 2d fighting games in anime-style have a nicer anime feel to it.

Unless you mean games like tekken and SF4 where you can't just freely run around.

Whoever was playing as Cloud sucked hardcore. Cloud is really good in Ehrgeiz (I own this game.) and either you were playing it on easy against the CPU or whoever was playing vs with you has no idea how to play at all.

what matters in this is sales. Ehrgeiz did great in the arcade. It didn't do so well in the home because of poor marketing and because the PSX was being overshadowed at the time by the rise of the Dreamcast and the talk of the Playstation 2. The Bouncer was released early in the PS2's life and was a commercial flop :/. And both The Bouncer and Ehrgeiz were developed by the same company, DreamFactory. They made a success with both Tobals and Ehrgeiz but not The Bouncer, what does that tell you?
