Looks as if he is a little kid who is trying to steal a cookie out of a cookie jar, and hopes to get caught !!! AWESOME VIDEO, many thanks for posting and to Marty Robbins for performing !!!
Another #1 hit for Marty Robbins on the Country & Western charts. It was the 121st #1 C&W song of the Rock Era. And even though Buck Owens and Sonny James were fighting for the top Country Music act, this proved that Marty Robbins was still around.
It is hard to pick my favorite Marty Robbins song, but this is one of them. Devil woman is another. I don't have many regrets in my life, but one of them is not being able to see Marty late at night at the Grand Ole Opry. It's Marty, then everyone else as far as I am concerned.
Just adore the haste and rush in this song; one can actually see the man´s ferretting around and tidy, arranging and preparing the runaway woman´s return... Unususal situation - and, as always, superbly sung by the GREAT Marty Robbins.
Bass player/singer Johnny Ortiz did a Good job on this in our Band "Northern Pass" in El Paso Tx..................Love Marty Robbins, what an entertainer!
All these clips are so classic. He sure had his own style and sound. I love his music. Brings back a lot of memories of my dad too. Thanks for posting all these.
I absolutely love this song. It was a number one hit for Marty but you never hear it anymore. It reminds me of being a little girl in the 60s, snug and warm in my mommy's hug!
El Paso and Big Iron started it all for me. I saw Mart and Merle in concert and except for the lousy benches I sat on it was one of the best concerts ever. I wish it was taped.
my former lead guitrst saw him in 80 in reno and came to the show early. Marty came out on stage and Tom stuck his hand out introduced himself and got to go backstage and talk with him. Marty is my all time country hero
Die guten gehen immer zuerst, warum nur so früh.Danke für die vielen schönen Songs, und der "gewisse Blick"auf den ich immer warte.Mit einer der besten der immer in meinem Herzen bleibt,Danke Marty und tschüüüßßß.
You're referring to Louie Roberts, who appeared on the Porter Wagoner show. Louie was actually the son of one of Wagoner's band members; he now plays gospel at the Carolina Opry.
Marty was not Gay,if you watch his videos you will see in most,he is just having fun with the crowd....Thanks for posting....What a great singer.

Was he gay? I love his voice and his music but a lot of his actions are very effeminate.
Anyone know?

I think he's very arrogant! In other video's when he was younger, he's much more calm
