@nuke97 To be fair, it's just chordal improvisational. If you know music theory, you can add some cool things to it. Flea does this himself all the time too in concert.

Apart from that, i have to say i've never heard a killer tone like this. it's truly amazing.

Its alright, its funky, though the end notes are not played that way, you have to slide from the first fret the whole way down using your pinky to do the popping. Watch Live at Slane Castle and see what I mean. Keep it up!

Hehe, just bought a HS Stingray.

Comparing that to my Fender J-Bass AM Standard it's a much more funky bass.

The J-Bass is better in jazz and smooth playing, but when I comes to slapping the Stingray makes you alot better, just because of the sound and how smooth it's to play.

I've played the electric bass for 15 yrs and upright for 3 yrs. Its almost completely different. The upright needs proper instruction or you can get seriously injured as it is a physically demanding instrument. But its a great instrument once you learn. The funny thing is after playing the upright I found that the frets on the electric bass was really a hindrance
