I love this video, but wish there was still sound. Makes me plan to upgrade my Slow Stick Wing and sport ailerons... Perhaps the Slow Stick X wing? What mods did you make? Flat wing?
I recently upgraded to the DX7 TX, and run two different brushless setups. Hacker A20-20L /w 10x 3.8 APC (20 Amps max @ 1200kv), and my latest is the Grayson Hobby Supper Megajet Motor over 2300kv with 6x4 APC. I fly 11.1v 2200 20C - The Slow Stick handles the added weight fine.
Again... nothing special...just cut out the pattern with 1/8th inch foam... slapped on a Himax 2812-0850 (I think it's the best motor for the slowstick myself but just my opinion)and a lipo...full aelerons with servos mounted on the wing with 2 sideed sticky tape.
I built it on a slowstick frame using the Slowstick wing design and slowstick tail feathers...All I did was leave the wing flat and added ailerons. Thats why I called it 3d Slowstick extreme.
wow nice idea. I think thats mostly homemade. Wings, control surfaces, and custom electronics. Sort of like he used the slow stick design as a template for that plane.
how much and how much do u need to spend for every single thing u need to fly it including batterys chargers and even motors if it doesnt come wit em and where can i get one and how easy is it to fly
ok i was looking at firebird commander 2 and my uncle has a firebird freedom i thnk thats wut its called and he lives in chicago so its too windy he said he would give it to me
the links on ww,towerhobbies, com are good learning sites. the best place to get the best package and price is ww,sureflite, com. To have a slowstick to fly including a transmitter is roughly $300. I reccomend getting a few flight lessons before flying it yourself.
I have one of those planes, there a blast to fly. Havent flone one in about two years tho. Heck, havent flown an RC in about a year..wonder if i still can. lol
nice

On my stick I have an Eflite 480 bl, 35 esc, and a 3s 2100 mah battery. It doesn't even use a runway, it just appears in the sky.

Nothing on that plane is stock, how can you still call it a slow stick?

Is that a standard Slow Stick wing that you modified?

I don't think that I have seen a slow stick hover like that, but I guess its a great way to learn!
