(4:41) That's not what Big Ben sounds like in the movie!
I guess "The Great Mouse Detective" was initially going to be in the Masterpiece Collection, but the series was axed unfortunately (this VHS presented here was actually the very last Masterpiece Collection release!)
@wileyk209zback They have always did that during advertising for re-releases on VHS and DVD as well as occasional times on Blu-Ray with the sound effects.
@Thepopcornator i dont know...it always confused me too i mean the rescuers got a sequel they could easily make more of those too instead of just stealing stories lol
I think they should've used the "Coming Soon to Own on Video and DVD" logo before the My Favorite Martian Preview and the "Coming Soon to Videocassette" logo before the Flick's Musical Adventure Preview.
Opening to The Secret of NIMH 2 Timmy to the Rescue 1999 VHS 1. Green Warnings [Late 90's Version] 2. Walt Disney Company Intro 3. Madeline Lost in Paris Preview 4. Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection Preview 5. Sonic the Hedgehog Satam Preview 6. Secret of NIMH 2 Soundtrack Commercial 7. 1992 Feature Presentation Logo 8. 1999 Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection Logo 9. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Logo 10. Start of Film
i really like all these old previews that came with this movie (accept that one preview called flicks musical adventure that ones really childish and pathetic) i really miss the 90s and i miss my childhood
As you can see, the "Alice in Wonderland/Robin Hood" preview, and "Madeline: Lost in Paris" preview can be found on my 1999 VHS reprint of "Dumbo" which was first released under the "Masterpiece Collection" back in 1994. MY copy was printed "4/4/00".
I have the 1999 VHS of the same movie, but it has the same previews. As for one thing, "The Great Mouse Detective" was considered to be released under the "Masterpiece Collection", but it got dropped, because Disney decided to released the VHS instead, but this was one of the first VHS release without using the "Masterpiece" name on it.

Walt Disney Gold Classic Collection Logo [Sorcerer Mickey and Tinker Bell]

Does it also have a Buena Vista Logo, if this film's re-released of course, even on television?

@ChowderFlapjackFan94 No, Pinocchio was the last Disney film released in the Masterpiece Collection. Not Ichabod and Mr Toad.

@JasmineAriellover01 Uh huh, it had the print logo on top of the spine cover.
bloodshotclam 1 year ago
No, it wasn't! It never intended to be.
systemoperator 1 year ago
@bloodshotclam Not technically
Pinocchio was not an official WDMC, but some earlier copies featured the logo
GORSKIED 10 months ago
@GORSKIED How do you know the earlier prints have the logo? Did Pooh's Grand Adventure have the logo on it?
bloodshotclam 10 months ago
@bloodshotclam video processing error. I have seen a copy of Pinocchio with the WDMC logo on it, but the one I own doesn't.
I think some Pooh's grand Adventure VHS' may have the logo, but I'm not positive
GORSKIED 10 months ago
@GORSKIED and besides the last official releases of the WDMC were Robin Hood and Alice in Wonderland on July 13, 1999
GORSKIED 10 months ago
@GORSKIED Oh, so what about Old Yeller, the 1997 40th Anniversary Film Classics Edition THX Certified VHS?
bloodshotclam 7 months ago
@bloodshotclam old yeller was released around the same time as Jungle Book and Alice, so it's possible that they intended all teh movies to be WDMCs.
