This preacher is certainly a breath of fresh air compared to the Anhem Choudaries of this world who preach hatred and bile at every opportunity.

He does not address the burning problem of why muslims consistently fail to co-exist with infidels. No religion has the right to impose on another's freedom. Tolerance has to be a two way street and until muslims realize this, the conundrum continues. People start hating them because of their behaviour and not because they happen to be muslim.

definately anjum choudhry ideology is that of minority extremist, unfortunately media portrays it as the majority. Muslim/disbelievers have co-existed for 800+ yrs in Islamic rule of Spain & in past. Tolerance exists in Islam for disbelievers as they have right to practice their own religion. Sadly, fact is humans regardless of faith can mistreat each other. My brother, maybe the next few ayaats might englighten you a little more. Consider these when you think about what the Messenger has said about the issue of the rulers..

"Obey Allah and obey the Messenger, and those of you who are in Authority.." [Surah 4:59]

"And it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allâh knows but you do not know." [Surah 2:216]

I recommend you seek knowledge of Islam, and the more you seek knowledge, inshallah the more you will realise what the Messenger of Allah (sal-Allâhu alayhi wa sallam) said about the issue of the rulers and how to deal with them.

Either we follow his way, or we do it our own way.

To cut the long story short.. we will not succeed our way. Even if we did (by fluke), then still we shall indeed be questioned about it on the Day of Judgement as to why we did not follow the Messenger. So be aware.

Brother, if you have read the Quran, then you should know that Allah says [meaning of which is],

"O you who believe! Obey Allâh and obey the Messenger, and those of you who are in authority.." [Surah 4:59]

"And obey Allâh and the Messenger so that you may be shown mercy." [Surah 3:132]

And

"It is not for a believer, man or woman, that when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter, that they should have any option (or say) in their (Allah or His Messengers) decision.." [Surah 33:36]

So when Allah and His Messenger mention something, then why should we disregard what they have to say and believe you.

In one of the many hadeeth, the Prophet (sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam) mentioned that after me you will have rulers who will (1) not follow the Quran, (2) not follow my sunnah, (3) will have the heart of a devil, (4) beat your back, (5) steal your wealth.

When the sahaba (radiallah anhu) asked what they should do in such a situation, the Prophet replied "Obey the Am'eer".

Think about that.. leaders of the Muslims with the hearts of devils (must be evil type people).

Rulers who dont follow the Quran.

Rulers who dont follow the teachings of the Messenger (sal-Allâhu 'alayhi wa sallam).

Leaders of the Muslim lands who torture the Muslims and beat the muslims.

Even confiscate the wealth, land, house and property of a Muslim for no reason.

Some would say to fight back.

But the people of knowledge say to Obey Allah and Obey His Messenger.

Look at the advice.

The Messenger does NOT speak from his own desiers (saying things because he feels like it), rather it is divine inspiration.

So the Prophet (Salallâhu alayhi wa sallam) said for such an occasion to "Obey the Am'eer" (the word Am'eer is used in the hadeeth).

So even if someone has the above 5 characteristics, then that person can still be an am'eer.

"So believe in Allâh and in His Messenger, the unlettered Prophet, and follow him (the Prophet) so that you may be guided." [Surah 7:158]

The Prophet said, "I am leaving amongst you two things that if you cling onto, you will never go astray. Book of Allah and my Sunnah."

So obey the Am'eer, and leave his affair to Allah. Do not obey him in dis-obeidience to Allah, but by rebelling against him you are going against the instrusctions of the Messenger of Allah.

Because the Prophet said (reported by Abu Hurairah),

"Whoever obeys me has indeed obeyed Allah, and whoever disobeys me has indeed disobeyed Allah." (Bukhari, Muslim).

So obey the Prophet when he advices us to obey the ruler. Just because you dont like the ruler does not mean that you now have a licence to dis-obey the Messenger of Allah.

Didnt you read the end part of the last hadeeth carefully?

The Prophet also said (reported by Abu Hurairah),

"All of my Ummah will enter Paradise except those who refuse" When it was asked who are those who would refuse, he answered "Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise and whoever disobeys me has refused." (Bukhari)

Islam is for all of mankind. And it is until the end of time.

The Prophet Muhammad is the final/last prophet and messenger of Allah.

This means is that the Prophet gave his Ummah enough information on all matter that would affect them until the final hour.

If the Messenger of Allah was alive today and you asked him about this situation, he would give you the exact same reply as he gave to the Sahaba in the hadeeth above about obeying the Am'eer (even if the Am'ir is an Ethiopian slave).

The Messenger always spoke the truth. And he loved his Ummah and cared for us. He did du'a for the Safety and the Guidance of this Ummah. He cried for this Ummah and he gave us all of the nasee'ah (sincere truthful advice) that he could so that we would not be harmed.

This is our Messenger whom we love, follow and obey.

We don't pick and chose what to obey him in and reject the parts that we don't like. Simply because we think they are wrong. This doesn't even make sense to do this!

So whoever obeys the Messenger has indeed obeyed Allah and (important point comming up)that whoever disobeys the Messenger has indeed disobeyed Allah (now we don't want to be doing this brother).

And thats because

"It is not for a believing man or a believing woman, that when Allâh and His Messenger have decreed a matter, that they (the people) should have any option (or say) in their (Allah or His Messengers) decision." [Surah 33:36]

We submit to Allah.

We accept Islam. The whole of it.

This is because the believers are known to say,

"We hear, and we obey. (We seek) Your forgiveness, our Lord, and to You is the return (of all)." [See Surah al-Baqarah 2:285]

Even if we dont like something we see in the religion, this does not mean that we now reject or disbelieve in this aspect.

Nor does this mean that we change this aspect of the religion. This is not what we do brother.

We accept the whole religion. All the parts of it inshallah. This is the way of the believers.

well we dont concrn wit our rulers, as ibn tamiya said allah establishs bad rulers upon bad ppl. Its duty of ulema to advise them upon discovering their sin or mistakes in seclusion n if ruler doesn't listen then sin is upon ruler. 1 of the toughest time on judgmnt day wil b for rulers of muslimeen. We mke dua for them 2b on guided path as Ibn Hanbal did, patience as prophet said is path 2 victory.
