They were disrespectful because they were hooting and hollering and being loud and obnoxious in the face of their competitors. Before the competition started they were circling the arena and chanting that they were the best. That type of thing is fine back home when one US team does that to another, but the Chinese and Europeans are quiet and polite prior to an event, as it shows respect. Almost all Americans act stupid abroad: they are loud and obnoxious. I am American, and am sick of it.
