penn state will always blow, their coach is a homo, their fans suck ass, i mean that whole program is based on beating nobody and when they play real teams they get their azz handed to them, case closed, fuk penn state period!
actually the problem the next week vs Miami occured before the game even started. Miami tried to start a brawl like the one that happened a year earlier. This time instead of letting the players go Lou held them back. He and the players have said this set the stage for the game and took the momentum out of them before the first snap. Even so, they still should've won the game they were in command for a while and were clearly the better team.
No excuses but.... Notre Dame played in cold ass weather against Penn State, and then played in balmy Miami a week later. Just one week would have helped.
Even Though Notre Dame won the national championship in 1988, I think there was more talent on the 1989 team.
