  • Anteaters are class !

  • can you train them to go to the bathroom outside? or do they crap all over your house?

  • I'm trying to convince my folks to let me get an anteater as a pet...do they get along with dogs/cats?

  • @DominatedSodaCan I'd recomend waiting till you live on your own, and preferably own your home. They can be stinky. Stewie went through a phase of tearing holes in the wall. Not good in someone else's home.

But they generally do okay with other pets. Just be careful introducing them and don't leave them alone together.

  • "Nudist pets people" THAT just too darn funny. I put knickers on anything that I can! and will surely put a coat on an animal that is shivering. I L-O-V-E the shirt as warm-ups, it's not like your trying to put her in frilly lace dresses and turn her into a child - we live in the Pacific Northwest, animals from South America deserve a little extra to battle our weather.

  • @CarnalContessa I use a heating pad with her sometimes but unless she feels like laying in her hammock she moves away from it and sits there shivering instead. With a shirt she can run around till she warms up.

  • Do they learn to go outside like dogs?

  • No Pua uses a pee pad or they can use a dirt box. They like to pee and poop in separate places as well.

  • how do u get them as pets

  • do anteaters show clear signs when shivering? like virbating a bit, or making weird noises?

  • Yeah I guess you could call it vibrating. Shivering is the muscles twitching to try and heat the body up. They have slow metabolisms so it can take them awhile to warm back up.

She hisses if upset about something but I've not noticed that in association with being cold.

  • How long do anteaters live?

  • Oldest so far was 19yrs so into their teens. That's tamanduas. Some giant anteaters have lived into their 30's

  • I've obviously been watching too many reruns of "What Not to Wear," because all I could think while watching this was, "That shirt is fits perfectly through the shoulders and flatters Pua's waistline, while the soft pastel shades bring out the lustre of her fur."

    I weep for my brain.

  • log time? does that mean hes gotta like take a dump?

  • How do they know when to destroy the wood (logs) and when not to (furniture)? Did you train them?

  • She never had interest in clawing the furniture. Stewie did tear holes in the wall when he was upset about Pua being ill and I put cayenne pepper powder in the holes. If he did claw at the couch I moved him to the cat condo.

  • where do u get their food?

  • I make it and did a lot of research to know what they needed.

  • I want an anteater.. Probably prefer a giant anteater though.

  • This is so funny!!

  • Why does Pua wear clothes? Is she cold all the time? She does look cute in that shirt but I'm glad my owner doesn't make me wear clothes. But maybe it's just because I'm shaped weirdly.

  • She's not cold all the time but she does get cold easily. Tamanduas are not very good at regulating their body temperature. They do best when the temp is kept between 65-80. But I've seen them shiver even at 65 sometimes.

  • capybaras are big enough that they could probably wear (weird shaped) kids clothes lol

  • Pua looks so good in that! How cute!

  • haha but the colour doesnt suit her lol

pink would off been better and perhaps a nice handbag and shoes to go with it ++++++++

  • My god that is cute, perfect fit. You gonna get another one?

  • You mean another shirt? I'm sure we will :)

  • Lol she looks like Martha Stewart.

  • Lol she looks like Martha Stewart.
