  • I was under Grandmaster Kise (7th dan then) and Grandmaster Soken in Okinawa in the latter sixties. Kise was in the U.S. in April this year. I believe he is 72 and still going strong.

  • Yes, he is still going strong and can work out very hard for his age. He is a very warm and giving person. I enjoyed training with him for years while I lived on Okinawa. I have other videos as well if you are interested in trading.

  • I am sorry that I do not have any videos to "trade," but I am a student in Master Kise's organization, and I would very much appreciate if you would share those videos. Thank you very much for posting this.

  • I had the honor of working out with Master Kise this year in Washington state. He is twice my age, and half my size, and he threw me around like a rag doll. He has a very deep understanding of the art.

I also did kotatie (arm toughening) with him. Good Lord, he's tough.

  • This is great. I studied under Kise Sensei in the mid 1980's as a teenager. The movements are still what's taught.

  • My father talked about Fusei Kise when I was a child in the late 70's. My father was granted 4th degree Black Belt of Karate Kobudo on April 15th, 1967 when stationed at Kadena AFB in Okinawa, Japan. My fathers certificate has on it that Fusei Kise was then Master 7th Degree, Seishinkan School of Karate. I can't place a date on this video, but I have a few pictures of now Grand Master Fusei Kise and Hohan Soken from 1967 or so.
