  • I can't quite tell with the accent, but does their coach ask for "a little bigger dick through the front"? If so, that's awesome. Very descriptive way to tell your rowers not to be too soft off the front end. A bit different style than the old oarsome foursome where the chests actually dove down a bit heading into the front end. The 4's final at the olympics should be epic...

  • @booksnpens1 He said "Nick". Not "Dick". Two seats name is Nick Purnell.

  • oh my goodness, look at the age of their blades! They still have the white sleeves and old black collars! :O But I still impressed with their rowing. very nice.

  • Looks really smooth :)

Just a little thing, aren't their hands-away at the finish meant to be a lil quicker? Even at that rate with square blades there's a significant pause.

Now I'm no pro myself but I just wanna know people's thoughts & opinions etc :p

  • @klbrumann its pretty typical australian rowing style. Personally i dont do it but i like it. It sets up their rythym off the back really well. Drew Ginn explains the reason for it really well on his blog you should check it out. Australian rowing style is beautiful.

  • @klbrumann The hands ideally should move out from the body at the same speed as they go in. It depends on what you're taught though.
