It should remove the actual program. It worked fine on my computer.

OMG! And to think that was real! That this, that "Personal Security" was one of the programs that my brother had installed to PROTECT my computer [no, he hates virus too just as much as we do! I have the Windows One LiveCare or whatever that's called as a legit anti-malware.]

1. click on your start menu

2. click RUN and type in regedit

3. search 'Personal Security'

and then remove all files belonging to personal security and it is gone

NOTE:

one file can not be removed!

boot your puter in safe mode then run system restore...worked!

yeah mine too...ran in safe mode, carried out a system restore to a few days before i got this stupid progam installed (must have been the kids)

crossed my fingers and it worked..carried out a full scan and it's all clear..changing password so the kids can't use it ;)

@secondyonsama how i fixed it... turn on your comp/laptop and hold down the power button untill it turns off then when you can select the option safe mode with networking from there open the internet download malwarebytes and do a quick scan in 5 mins it will be off you pc :)

Dang, this one has done a number over on me. bleh. I click end process on the psecurity.exe, and try to open task manager, but it still doesnt open. After trying several things for a couple days now including trying to download several real anti spyware systems, and with personal security stopping me every time and really messing with my head...I'm ready just to wipe my computer and start anew..

deleate it in safe mode.. this allows you to download the anti malware which you need to wipe it off your computer
