Our churches wouldn't be against the ropes if we had more bold and pure teaching as this. Dont stop being bold even if they say your hateful and judging (the bible commands us to judge yet not hypocritically) because that means your prying hells fingers from them and the hell in them doesn't like it.
recently one of my best friends girl and i had a short affair, i love so unbelieveably much and knowing that i cant have her feels me with so much pain. we decided not to do anymore and we hadnt done much anyway at most a handjob. i know its wrong, i feel so guilty. will God ever forgive me? how can i repent without telling my friend? because i will be destroying so many relationships if i do. how can i start believing in God?
i am a 15 year old boy who before now never had a real conection to God but now i feel different i have lead a very sinful life, i dont want that any more. i want the life of God and will need some advice can any one help?
Hello! I am a pastor in Little Rock, Arkansas, and I am much pleased by your sermon. You mention the importance of reading the bible daily. I think this is very important. As an addendum to the verse that commands this, I and several other's believe that there's a message that was lost in translation. It commands "as thy read the bible daily, thou shalt dress as peter and jesus, and lie with each other detestably, and afterwards, thou shalt sucketh thy cream seed from jesus's love canal."
That is incorrect. The King James Bible is a highly accurate translation, but it is still a translation of the originals. The Catholic Church tried to do the same with the Latin translation they used, which turned out deadly. Modern English speakers find it difficult to understand the KJV, so often they need an ACCURATE translation that they can understand. The KJV was best in its day, but if one cannot understand it anymore, it is just as useless as the old Latin translations today.
Thank you so much for the answer. My actual need is for a cousin who lives in Hamburg, Germany. She does not speak English, yet I would like to give her a Bible. Which would be recommended for a German speaker? Is there a Bible that would give a German the same legitimacy as the King James would for English speakers? Thanks!
I have read the Martin Luther 1912 and 1914 editions cover-to-cover. It definitely isn't perfect, but it as least from the Received Text manuscripts. Beware of any Martin Luther edition after 1914.
In the last few years other updates of the Martin Luther Bible have come out that correct errors and are almost identical with the KJV. I don't have the exact info, but you could probably research it online. I used to have one, but I gave it away, and I don't remember exactly where I got it
The original Bible was in Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. Any Translation that accurately portrays the information given in the originals is perfectly acceptable. Until one is completely familiar with those ancient languages, there is no way to declare a translation "perfect," "accurate," "imperfect," or "inaccurate" unless it blatantly goes against God's Word.

Hi. Which Bible translation is best?
DonnaSilverstein 3 years ago 3
There isn't a "best" because there is only one that is legit: the King James Bible.
