I appreciate your interest in the wild horses of Sand Wash. I spent this last summer documenting them for a study. I just wanted to make one comment-in your shots of the horses, they are running away. These horses are amazingly tolerant, and for the most part, you really need to agitate them to make them run and keep running. In the future, try to walk slowly, and hunker down in the sage. This will limit the "harassment" and they may even come closer to check you out.
