I use google chrome as a web browser and the sole reason I do is because of the UI (user interface) it looks like CS4 has completly adapted or stolen (for lack of a better word) the same multiple window interface, which is fantastic. I think I will have to buy this program very soon, the more I see of it the more I love.

Also when I bought my new wacom intuos tablet last week it came with a free version of corell so I really don't feel like doling out 600 dollars for a photoshop program when I use either Gimp or painter, it's not so much the tools anymore as it is how you use them. I've seen amazing results done in gimp that equal or surpass those of photoshop because one user or the other didn't know what they were doing.

you have to be atleast an experience user to get it work... all you have to do is be good at following directions.. its all it takes.. great software and worth the money if you buy it.. worth the time if you choose to download the copy...

I will force myself to stay with cs3 just to save all the money. These new features are not necessary. Even the new birds eye zoom and the slidey hand tool are just little upgrades. For 200 bux, im sure the non-rich user can get around without them. dam u adobe!

So far as the Windows version goes the new interface is improvement, but on the Mac it's counter productive with the tabbed interface. It should be off as default or have a more obvious simple way to turn it on/off as most Mac users like to use Expose for their canvas selections, plus having them all in their own little window makes it easier to cross referance things with documents below/around it, like if you're working on an InDesign project for example and need a colour profiling.

There is nothing spectacular added in Photoshop CS4. Not only that, do you actually visit the Adobe forums now and then? Obviously not, because you'd be amazed about the complaints and not just minor ones, but complaints about slowness and crashes,not something we were used to previous versions, there are major issues with CS4, although I have to agree that a small group doesn'tseem to be affected.

Ok...first time Photoshop customer... My sister got me the Adobe Photoshop CS4 for christmas, and i installed it...but its only staying as a 30-day trail. when I try to register it it say "The serial number you entered indicates that your setup is for an upgrade version of Adobe Photoshop CS4 Extended. TO be eligible for this upgrade, you must already own a qualifying product" ive never owned photoshop before so what do i do!! some help !!

Oh this video just helped me with a problem I was having, it was stuck on the hand tool when you hit space bar and I couldn't do anything.

Then I saw this video and learned that's a shortcut, hit the space bar and everything came back to normal (they shouldn't have made it that it stays on hand tool no matter what until you hit space bar again - because I didn't even notice I hit space bar the first time....

I'm not sure on Photoshop, but I know some of their other programs had limited features in the trials for CS3 - eg, you couldn't import all the video types that were listed until you bought Premiere.

PhotoCrash as I call it. It crash all the time. I tried the fix adobe support tell me, but it doesn't improve very much. Example: Opening a blank work space crash it.

The version is even more driver sensitive. Adobe said to try it on a fresh install of windows ... I don't really want to reinstall it.

Finaly reinstalled vista and now it working. Photoshop is detecting my card and no more crash.

Really? I had CS3 on XP, CS3 on Vista 64-bit and am getting CS4 in a couple of days, I don't recall it crashing all the time.

I also used it on a Vista 32 bit OS (cs3) and it didn't crash when I used it.

No CS3 is stable for me. But I finaly findout what make CS4 crashing all the time. It ASUS smart doctor. A tool that come with my video card to monitor my video card fan speed and temperature.

Remove it and it stable again. But my fan speed is at 100% all the time. So I'll stick with cs3 for now, so I can use smart doctor.
