It is actually quite easy to compare this to male genital mutilation. Both are done to the genitals, both without consent and both (mostly) without anesthetic. Also, some types of FGM are not as bad as MGM. While this may be worse than traditional MGM the comparison is perfectly valid and it is only sexists who deny that.

The main criticism I see mention for "health" is that dirt and infection can accumulate under the foreskin, which in modern times is silly since most people bathe regularly. Female circumcision (funny you love to put it in scare-quotes), is removal of the clitoris, you dipshit. It's NOT 'complete removal of sexual organs'. That would require REMOVING the vagina.

Do some research yourself. The removal of the foreskin is only analogous to the removal of the clitoral hood or the labia minora. Its NOT THE SAME as the removal of the clitoris. Extreme FGM/ Female infibulation was enforced by dumb men who'd like chastity in their wives. If a male had this done it would mean that his dick would be cut off, considering that the penis is formed from what becomes the citoris if the person is female. While I agree that male circumcision should be abolished in we'll do it just for the hell of it situations. at least there are some medical benifits for male circumcisions. 2 of my nephews from different sisters of mine had to have circumcisions because the foreskin was too tight and that caused them pain urinating and in general. But isn't there something about male circumcision preventing future infection or something? I haven't looked it up though. No medical reason means no reason in general

After studying male circumcision, I chose not to circumcise my son. But let's be realistic. When men are circumcised they are not circumcised to deliberately prevent any sexual pleasure, as are women in these cultures. They also do not spend the rest of their lives enduring painful sex, urinary tract infections and other conditions related to the mutilation. So let's not confuse the issue by comparing male circumcision and female circumcision.

@MommylovesGavie No it really isn't very controversial. There are two sides, those in favor of mutilating babies and those opposed.
It is actually quite easy to compare this to male genital mutilation. Both are done to the genitals, both without consent and both (mostly) without anesthetic. Also, some types of FGM are not as bad as MGM. While this may be worse than traditional MGM the comparison is perfectly valid and it is only sexists who deny that.
