Program the applicable CV using either of the programming modes - on the Program Track or On the Main (POM). All sound decoders use different CV numbers for overall and individual volumes. See the applicable sound decoder manual.
Programming a CV using the Procab using "On the Main" is as easy as pressing the PROG/ESC button, then pressing 2 for CV then enter the CV number, then the value. See the NCE website for the Procab or system manuals for more details
Sound decoders can have up to 28 functions that can opertated by the user that include many light outputs that can be used to operate Headlights front and rear, Marker (Classification) lights, Cab, Gyra, Beacon, Ditch, Mars etc Lights amd many sounds like Horn/Whistle, Dynamic Barkes, Brakes, Coupler, Steam Blowoff (long and short), Water Stop, Injector etc sounds.
See the Tsunami from Soundtraxx and Titan (14 Light Outputs) from QSI Manuals for what are included in each of their decoders.
Thanks a lot for this video; I have some NCE D13SRJ, decoders but not the programmable controller pro cab yet, just a basic controller.
I can see that you knowledge of the NCE system is remarkable, would you said that the NCE controller is compatible with the DIGITRAX SDH164D DCC decoder + sound in one ? Thanks a lot.
Turnouts must be controlled by a Turnout Motor like a Tortoise etc and these motors are controlled by an applicable Accessory Decoder.
Selecting a Turnout is the the same as selecting a loco, you have to "dial up" the Accessory Decoder's address, in the case of NCE, in the range of 1 to 2044, after pressing the "Select ACCY" button and selecting 1 or 2 for the required position of the Turnout.
A Soundtraxx Tsunami Light with a Reading 6 Chime Whistle,
For me this is the most appealling Whistle out of the 8 provided. I model the NSW Australian prototype so I'm not going to get the exact Whistle, so I choose the one I like the most..
