The reason Paul was not married and Jesus spoke against Divorce is because in the Resurrection the righteous will enter the Kingdom of God in which none are given in marriage. The two become one and the outside is made to be like the inside, spiritual. The flesh is cast off for a heavenly body, a new garment. For in the flesh one became two whereas in the Kingdom the two become one.
Jesus is simply stating that a man choses a woman and that is marriage and he becomes whole. It has a spiritual meaning incoded as well. It has to do with the mystery of bridal chamber and being wedded to the Holy Spirit and Christ the Logos. Its a deep passage and Paul reinforces it. The law was given to sinners. The 10 commandments were given then Moses came down and saw the idolatry of Israel and their law was broken (see Barnabas which is canonical).
I get it...you are not so much dwelling on the subject of divorce as much as using this particular scripture differinciating the Word of the Lord as apposed to Moses interpreting God commands in smaller detail. For you quoted Mark 10 wherin Jesus corrects the people and restates what God the Father has always wanted what was truly wanted by God for his people. Not just regarding divorce..but all of God's laws...the spirit of the Law...can never be stretched, but the physical law evidently was.
