  • Goin to the Louisville show tuesday, can't wait

  • @jwagner2011 Saw them too, great show...

  • goin to see them for the second time on thurs. The last time was a few years back so the wait has been excruciating...especially when i see videos like this!

  • let me kn how it is lol

  • Great show that was my 4th time seeing alice in chains since they got back together. Now I cant wait to see Soundgarden when they tour again.

  • Saw them at the Palladium, they were great

  • great fkn video, great f'n show, william is the man, the shoes have been filled. no one will EVER be LAYNE but their choice was brilliant!!!!

  • I think that Layne Staley would have approved of the band carrying on in his absence. William Duval cannot replace Staley but he can sure bring the rock. I was at this show from the video, the guy is totally pro.

  • The biggest joke ever - Duvall trying to sing Sickman. Now AIC can swindle the masses who were either clueless or in diapers when Layne Staley gave Alice in Chains their dark and desperate edge which set them apart from their peers. This tour is insulting to the legacy of music's greatest vocalist and most beautiful yet tortured soul. RIP my beloved Layne.

  • You couldn't be more wrong. Get over it. Everyone has moved on but you.

  • Hmm. This is exactly the knee jerk response I thought I was going to get. OK well assuming you care to debate this and not just hurl insults at each other let me state my case. I have been an AIC fan since Facelift. I love them so it would take a lot for me to insult Jerry. I've supported his work since Layne died. I have no problem with Mike, Sean and Jerry moving forward as musicians and creating new music. I applaud them for this. But what is the deal with (continued below)

  • them finding a parrot of Layne and then performing all of the old songs. When Layne sang those songs it was performance art. In other words, that was his life, he was suffering and we felt his pain and wanted him to beat his demons. He also had a vocal talent that was different and his own. It seems so irrelevant and quite frankly ridiculous to see someone imitate him and sing his lyrics. There is no emotional connection. Do you get where I am coming from?

  • Cantrell was the writer for MOST

  • please, layne was a cock rocker playing shit music before AIC. His previous band was called Sleeze. Spare us the drama...

  • @pethealer I get what these songs meant personally to AiC, but I attribute the songs to meanings within my own life. If you don't dig them anymore because what they meant to you od'ed... than that's fine. It means different things to different people, we dont need to listen to Duvall sing Sickman and be like, 'Well that doesn't make sense!' That's like listening to 'Rooster' and wondering what these guys would know about being in a war - and being mad about it.

  • And if you haven't heard their new album, and the sadness that is in it, than you're missing out. They wrote with emotion back in the day, and they still do. And that's why AiC is still so fucking good. If any group deserves the chance to move on from the death of Layne without hearing the bullshit from the fans, it's AiC. They deserve to celebrate what they did, and they deserve to keep creating as a group. This isn't like INXS.

  • cant wait to see them in the CHI next month

  • Amazing, can't wait to see the show next month!

  • Crazy show. I was right in front of that security guard that you can see smiling at 9:18. I couldn't see my face, but found me fist pumping! Epic!

  • that was an amazing show....i got to meet mike inez afterwards.....really nice guy

  • word? you lucky bastard, lolz.

    whatd you guys talk about?

  • he said we were the best show they played in a while...and he said he wouldve stuck around and hung out but he was goin to a friend's bar to watch the superbowl...lol i got a pick from him too but it was one that he used

  • one that he didnt use i mean lol

  • oh yeah and thanks for posting this. it is really nice to see it again. they played and sounded so good. and hearing the classics brought tears to my eyes. the new stuff was very good too. 4 songs i wish they would have played: lying season, sunshine, put you down, and black gives way to blue. but the show was absolutely awesome. everyone in the band ripped it up.

  • i'd love to hear sunshine live

  • i've seen them 1 w/ layne and salem was 3rd with william...i've never heard that song. thats the 1 song i wanna see/hear. sunshine would b great live. that song rules!!! i yelled out "PLAY SUNSHINE" 3X AT SALEM, AND I AM HAPPY THEY DID "LAST OF MY KIND".... AND "it aint like that"...was hoping to hear "take her out" killer show tho, and william is a great front man and fkn killer rockstar w/ a grat stage presence. later
