@brodizzleable also 180sx originally came with ca18det (only in japan), in the usa they are 240sx because they had ka24de. nissan has bassed they're s and z chassis's off of displacemnt. ka24de or e have a 2.4. hince the 240 in 240sx :)

Im currently in the process of rebuilding the bottom end of my ka24de and im putting in wiesco piston .20 over and eagle rods, clevite bearings, and arp studs all around, what size injectors are you using to run 21psi?
@tchenku Yeah i dont think ill be running anything close to 400hp anytime soon but you never know and it is nice to have the head room you dont want your injectors pulling full duty all the time.

@cobra: depends on which 200sx you're referring to. the usdm b-chassis 200sx came with a ga16de or sr20de, depending on the trim. the 200sx the rest of the world got was available with an sr20det.
side note: no usdm car came with a turbo sr20. nor did we get the sr20ve /sadface

Ok so heres the deal i Have a 91 240sx and i just put a new alternator, fuel pump, filter, and injector, with a new starter and distributer cables, and its sill a cunt to start...where do i go next so i dont spend anymore money?
@lucky3792 Need some more details here! Can you hear the starter trying to kick things over? Do you have to push start it? What is the measure of a "cunt?" Does it run fine once it's started? Does it stall at low revs. And is everything else stock?
@lucky3792 Did you say battery? some times higher cold cranking amps help. Or check to see how the ground wire is. And lastly check to see how the wire from the battery to starter is.
I think you need a BOV or a new one atleast. If your still running with the stock one its prob done by now seeing that its like 20 years old lol. It sounds like your BOV isn't opening which is causeing the air to go back into your turbo wich makes that fluttering sound. This may sound cool but your probl losing power from this.
I'm only a amature but I think I may be right on this one, If I were you I would take it to the local shop and see what they say :)

@cobra: depends on which 200sx you're referring to. the usdm b-chassis 200sx came with a ga16de or sr20de, depending on the trim. the 200sx the rest of the world got was available with an sr20det.
side note: no usdm car came with a turbo sr20. nor did we get the sr20ve /sadface

There is no Stock Turbo for this engine all turbo kits are Custom.
240sx 1989 - 1990 KA24E (NA)
240sx 1991 - 1993 KA24DE (NA)

Ok so heres the deal i Have a 91 240sx and i just put a new alternator, fuel pump, filter, and injector, with a new starter and distributer cables, and its sill a cunt to start...where do i go next so i dont spend anymore money?

@lucky3792 Need some more details here! Can you hear the starter trying to kick things over? Do you have to push start it? What is the measure of a "cunt?" Does it run fine once it's started? Does it stall at low revs. And is everything else stock?

@lucky3792 Did you say battery? some times higher cold cranking amps help. Or check to see how the ground wire is. And lastly check to see how the wire from the battery to starter is.

I think you need a BOV or a new one atleast. If your still running with the stock one its prob done by now seeing that its like 20 years old lol. It sounds like your BOV isn't opening which is causeing the air to go back into your turbo wich makes that fluttering sound. This may sound cool but your probl losing power from this.
I'm only a amature but I think I may be right on this one, If I were you I would take it to the local shop and see what they say :)

@ciolfi0118 Yeah you have the right Idea, but to be honest it's not that important to have a working BOV. Just once it doesn't leak, you won't lose any power. I've been running no BOV for years on my cars, with no problems.

@tchenku yea i do know what im talking about im so sure about what im saying i wouldent just pull that out of my ass i got somebody who offerd me a hks full intercooler kit with piping and all for 300 bucks brand new and the forged internals with the gaskest, rings, camshafts and all to run the turbo an extra 300 bucks, and a garret 3 turbo thats pushing 25 pounds of boost for an extra 400 dude trust me i wouldnt be just making up these numbers dude

I have ha 4 xbox's, 3 guitars, 2 basses and a turbo kit busted just because I have a tendency to be right. Im 17 and worked my ass off for all those items. Kudos to the car. I just bought a 93 convert. Tomorow im putting on my fuel filter and various other things. Cant wait till i get it tagged. This is one sick car bro. :)
