i tell you something about the "rolling shutter effect" or jelly as you name it. Every CMOS ia affected. it doesnt really hast to do directly with the zoom, the reason you see it more when you zoom in, is first:
your image is shaking more.
Second: As i see you filmed in auto exposure mode. As you zoom in your lens losses 2 stops of light and opens the shutter to compensate. As you use longer shutter times you get your jelly.
zoom enhances the error, but a lot of the effect is created by how the user carries the cameara. Some people can take fantastic videos, while others tend to bring the jelly on using the same camera. I don't like to think about jelly because once I see it, i keep seeing it. However, all cameras can get this effect under the right conditions. And most cameras can avoid it as well. I can actually get sharper pics from a $200 pocket cam if I film carefully for example.
nice tip dude, i got mine yesterday and i aint even opened it yet,lol... i'm gonna try and do an unboxing vid on youtube over the weekend, if i can restrain myself till then, anymore tips is much appreciated kilimats02, this is my 1st superzoom and also my first FULL MANUAL control camera so i'm pretty excited about what photo's i can take with this when i learn how to use it
By the way if you want the vid in good quality when your not in 720 mode, export the vid in the highest quality possible

I was getting the jelly affect on my camera, but I cured it by adding some ice-cream on the lens with the jelly, it works a treat!

one advise, go to the MENU and disable the digital zoom :-)
Jelly is hardly HARDLY detectable. I'm happy with the result too :-)
