The game is Nexus: The Jupiter Incident, and the mod is called Stargate: War Begins. I can't post download links here, so please read the description of the video for those:)
Ok I have to say this is the closest mod ever made that looks like the real stargate battles but think stargate empire at war for star wars empire at war is more fun to play as there is more stuff in it including hives and other big things unfortunatley unlike this mod no city ship or secret borg cube.So if you are looking for a real stargate experiance get both.
Don't forget, that while Stargate: Empire at War is at an 0.8 or later stage of development, we're not even at 0.6. That means that of course there is more content in that mod than ours, because they are further in the development. Many things will be implemented to our mod in the coming months, (including hives and other big things) and many things are subject to change/advance. So comparison is only due, when both mods have reached the 1.0 state.
That sounds GREAT! Though I have to wonder how you're going to make the Ori weapons NOT have instantaneous travel times like standard Nexus beam weapons (then again, Nexus has some awesome particle systems to work with, so who knows) . . .
They better give me the same chills the Mechanoid weapons did the first time they opened up!
It won't be laser class. Do you remember the Crisis Energy Torpedo? it's exactly the same weapon effect like in the show for the Ori ships, but it's blue. The only problem is that we're having trouble changing it's color, so Dreamor is trying to build a new effect from scratch.
I see. It's just that you guys used a laser class weapon in this trailer to represent the Ori superbeams.
Hopefully you'll find a way to emulate the big bulge along the beam's tip. It'll be balanced for multiplayer, right? Even the show has problems with Asgard weaponry; the Season 5 premiere of Atlantis had to take them out of the equation to build drama before they got restored and "made the enemy go away."
Hey SoulAssassino, I was playng around with some of your textures, just so I could try to make the ones that I was gonna send you look similar(Stylewise), but I was wondering, would you mind if I re-did the Orion's Skin?
I LOVE the new weapon sprites! You made a great deal of progress there!
How are you going to balance the Ori ships? Or will you make them unavailable in multiplayer, since they don't seem to use fighter-type craft?
If you need more sounds or dialogue composition, I'm your man. I also now have some experience in modelling with 3DS Max, so if you need some extra help modelling I might be able to contribute.
Well, fighters are basically useless in Nexus, plus the Ori ships habe fighters, we have seen them in Flesh and Blood. For the multiplayer, we're balancing for skirmish and single player now, but it will be a bit easier to balance the multi because we can manipulate with the "prices" of ships, and through this, fleet sizes. Unfortunately nexus needs a modelling program called Lightwave 3D, so if you have some free time check into that:)
In my experience fighters were very useful in Nexus. They could stop incoming gunboats, bombers, or missiles, all of which could cause lots of problems for your ships, or even disable an unshielded ship's devices.
Wraith fighters are the main reason why SG-1 ships can't pelt the hiveships with nukes, for one thing. Good use of fighters in this mod could really up the stakes!
I'll send you my balance suggestions with fighters later in a message.
well, sometimes. But they get slaughtered pretty easily buy the flak systems and eachother. We're working hard on making the fighters work the stargate way. So not all ships will have flaks, but will have a bunch of fighters, or for example wraith hives will have tons of darts to knock out missiles. But for example Goa'uld ships will rely heavily on shields for anti-missile protection, plus the Deathgliders will have some anti-missile accuracy. If they get nuked: Bad luck:D

@maxclay123 Rising Empire by Immediate Music if you haven't found out yet.

Still the best trailer so far imo. The music and the fact that they show actual scenarios from the show is really what does it.

Thanks, that part was a momentary idea:)

so auroa's texture is still missing?
harry4657 3 years ago
Nope we have textures now, but we have no texture artist, so it's kinda basic and unfinished.

i need this mod from where get it
paleraider3012 3 years ago
only 2 things:
1. the shields look to large for the deadalus class (to long)
2. make the ori battleships with a siege laser(Main cannon!)
Dragonrider202 3 years ago
The Daedalus shields look totally fine, you see it like that because of the perspective of the video.
The Ori battleships will have a unique weapon which looks like the one in the show.:)

sorry i posted about the ori ships before i got to see that
