@TheCh0c0lat3Cookie This was a major surgery so they put her to sleep for the operation. She was on an IV drip during the procedure to keep her hydrated. She is on 2 kinds of pain meds at the moment plus an anti-inflammatory to help with swelling. She will stay on the meds for 10 days or longer if need be. One day you'll get a dog. They're a big responsibility & just like humans they can have accidents & get hurt or sick. So when you do get one make sure you can handle all the responsibilities.

@TheCh0c0lat3Cookie Thanks. Her surgery went well. She is now in recovery and under strict bed rest for the next 8-12 weeks. She will get her stitches removed in a week or so. The doctors say she should make a full recovery.

@HotTimeKidd Thank you so much. I'll keep you all posted. Not sure how the injury occurred. She is a very active dog and loves to run and jump around. The vet said that it is not uncommon for it to happen to a dog of her size and activity. It can also be genetic too.
