dreamcast didnt have T&L so would have suffered bad framerate with lighting. ps2 version is stuttery ,,pc version was great on a p3+geforce 2 back then

wow, the game is so different here. no bullet time, no diving on the floor, enemies are a bit cartoony.

the game taking forever to come out was worth the wait.

thats true! i think the Bullet Time,and diving on the floor was a very nice touch in the game now,but the enemies do look pretty stupid,especially the big big dude with (i think its using) the Jackhammer Shotgun

overall, Max Payne has a great story

Max Payne was indeed supposed to come out on Dreamcast, but this trailer does not show the Dreamcast version of Max Payne. This trailer was shown in 1998 at E3, when the Dreamcast wasn't even released, and showed the PC version of the game. The in-game graphics got a revamp in 2000, and the extremely low-poly models and low-res textures were replaced with what you can actually see in the game. Had Max Payne been released for the Dreamcast, it would've looked like any other released version.

i've watched some pics on a old magazin the game was much smoothed than the PC version , and the DC version was different than the final version ... i think they cancelled the game on DC because this console has failed gta3 was planned on DC also and cancelled after .
