Phil has a real groove and 'swings' Slade is not like that, he's a great drummer, but not really for AC/DC

It was stated somewhere that ACDC got rid of Chris Slade due him not fitting the ACDC style and groove. Something to that extent...

Chris is a good technical drummer, but speed isn't everything. He's too mechanical for AC/DC, they need groove.
