Heh, Initial Home Video's intro was animated by Lisberger Productions in Boston. That company itself had used the animation to open it's film "Animalympics" as well as a radio station promo. The piece is also known to be the first incarnation of what would become the later Disney film "Tron".

I remember this being used a promo for the nonw-defunct WPIX-FM in New York City, back in the late 70s. I'm glad someone dug it up.
