The US Marines ARE a department of the Navy. The men's department. Haaa! OK before y'all flame me....I have lots of veteran friends from all branches of the military, my fiance is a US Army veteran himself, and my grandfather was a captain in the US Navy and served honorably in WWII & Korea. ALL of them would get that this is just a silly joke and everyone knows they can rely on each other when the hell hits the hole.

This uniform is Navy tradition, it'd be hell to pay for the person who tries to change it. We don't care about "looking cool". This uniform is historic, much of the things we do, wear, and say are based off of Navy traditions. I DO agree that their blues look AWESOME though!

Plus, the Sailor there is a Corpsman, he wears the Marine BDU, but not the dress uniforms.
