@SavageDutchman they're both playing the same minor scale with a few passing notes here n there, and just for argument sake Slash plays more passing notes than does Brian May
@cviticka Brian May can actually be the main vocalist on any other band but when you have someone singing like Freddie Mercury i don't think there will be any debate at all on who's better.
@HeyKarlooo ...absolutely true. Don't forget Roger Taylor behind the drum kit as well - he is just as good a singer as Brian May. Amazingly talented guys, but Freddie was freakishly good.
How can any REAL music lover deny Slash's incredible talent? I don't get it. If you're a hater then hate on something people don't like... don't make yourself look foolish by saying a talent like Slash is overrated.
They play two completly diffrent styles so it's impossible to tell who's better becouse they're both top guitarists. Congratz, you just proved that you know nothing about guitar nor rock.
@37thperson This was just an opinion, And Brian May and Slash are not completely different, they both use minor and major pentatonic scales. If it wasn't for the speed difference they could sound quite similar in certain parts of their music.
what is this hop and piphop that you speak of? Do they use guitars and live drums? That is the only music I have ever been exposed to....... I love computers they make life easier... It also kills the heart of music.
@SigandGibbs i agree with you.he didn't steal tha show.....he just added a little something to that already awesome live performance of tie your mother down
Uhmm...Sorry but British bands like The Cream, Led Zep, the yardbirds and so on, were merely emulating the blues music from Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, and all the great American bluesmen. Every one and ALL of them have said so countless times. I'm not saying America over Britain, but you just can't say "Britain is the best in music", Cause we Rock your socks off too Buddy!!

You're kidding, right? Just consider Guns n' Roses or Kiss or Alice Cooper or Elvis (supposedly he is still alive) or Heart or Van Halen or Pat Benatar. Again, don't get me wrong, I love so many British bands like Iron Maiden, ELO, and The Who.... you can keep the rolling stones IMHO.
