Saw these guys live in San Diego, opening for NIN...they sounded awesome live, and played amazingly. Billy Howerdel is a very underrated guitarist and songwriter. Maynard is a minor deity onstage as usual.

One dislike, had to be an operator error with the mouse lmao. I don't know if I agree with the previous opinion on Maynard being the new age Mr. Mojo Risin'. I am a huge fan of both, and would have to agree to disagree. Maynard has his own creative style, which doesn't involve moonlighting on LSD or peyote. Maynard also isn't the poet Morrison was either, I see them very differently, but that is my opinion.

its a different kind of release, the music is not as heavy so it does not evoke those kinds of emotions, the music is more feminine in such a perfect way, he can emote things he couldn't before

well, thats actually an easy one to answer. Tool is like the progression of the soul. started out with anger and pain, then slowly went up to confusion, then complete illumination. when APC was formed, it was meant to be a beautiful, healing type of music, which it is. Tool is great in their own way, and honestly i dont see anything better than THIRD EYE. or the live push it. his voice is wonderful there.
