Nepali are following Indian culture because of Indianization.

Indianization is the process where group of people tried to bring another group to conform to Indian culture. In short Indianization is the process to bring people, region under control of India culturally or politically or both. For past decade in Nepal, Nepalese are led to believe that Indian culture are ours. Nepali media is the sole culprit where it always promote Indian culture instead of Nepali culture and value.
