You clearly don't know about cars, the 55k engines have MORE torque and are FASTER. They also have more tuning potential. I considered an E63 when I got my E55 but the E55 is better in everyway.

The Panamera is a very fast sedan/saloon. However, the fastest street legal 4 door car in the world is the Brabus Rocket. I am sure there are the 4 door Japanese compacts like the Evo and WRX, when extensively modified, that can out accelerate these cars because of their manual trannys and awd systems. But when it comes to top end, the Rocket will take them down. But when you think about it, how often will you be able to go 225mph in the Rocket? From a stoplight though the compacts will dominate
This car has the 7GTronic MCT which has the torque converter replaced by multiplate clutch, reducing the shit time down to 100ms. Pretty fast I's say for a classic automatic gbox.
